The school hosted the Mega Education Fair which was organized by Ikigaii Education Services (KC Overseas School Division) on Saturday, 6 July 2024. This initiative is in alignment with the school’s commitment to provide necessary resources, skills and guidance to students to fulfil their aspirations. More than 300 students of Classes IX to XII from schools across the city attended the Fair.
The grand culmination of the National Youth Parliament Session (Fourth Edition), Kishore Sabha, under the auspices of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India, drew to a close successfully at Bal Bharati Public School, GRH Marg New Delhi, on 9th August 2024.
The occasion was graced by the Chief Guest Dr, Md. Zubeer Ahmed, Associate Professor in Department of Political Science (Janki Devi Memorial College), the Guests of Honour, Shri Devesh Pandey, Senior Assistant Editor (The Hindu) and Dr. Raju Keshari, Assisstant Professor in Department of Political Science (Janki Devi Memorial College) and special Guest Shri Kapil Nagar, School Head (North) The Hindu, highlighting the importance of civic engagement and democratic discourse among the youth.
The National Youth Parliament session provides a platform for young minds to engage in informed discussions on vital National issues. The theme of the event was ‘Ideas for a better tomorrow: India for the World’. Sixty-five students from grades IX-XII enthusiastically participated to make the event a grand success.
The Annual Awards Ceremony for the academic session 2023-24 was a vibrant event held on April 23, 2024 and 27 April, 2024, for Classes I to III and IV & V respectively, celebrating the exceptional achievements of students. The ceremony commenced with a heartfelt prayer, acknowledging the guidance of the Almighty. Led by Principal, Mr. L V Sehgal and Headmistress, Ms. Reetu Dawar, the event showcased the dedication and hard work of students and educators alike. The students were honoured with certificates, trophies and badges for their exemplary performance in scholastic and co-scholastic subjects. It was a moment of pride and inspiration for the entire school community, emphasizing the values of perseverance and collaboration in achieving success.
On Tuesday 30 April 2024, the senior department came together in a special edition of joint morning assembly for classes IX-XII. The purpose was to commemorate the academic and co-curricular toppers of 2023-24. The executive members of the Parent Teacher Association were present to do the honours. PTA was sponsoring the certificates, badges and books for the awardees. The event began with prayers followed by the school song. The top 34 class IX academic toppers with 90% and above aggregate were the first to be felicitated. The next group who moved into the spotlight were those who had excelled in co- scholastic activities. Thereafter class 11 stream toppers were bestowed honours. All the star performers in both curricular and co-curricular activities received a thunderous applause. The blessings of Principal and his words of encouragement and advice brought the proceedings to an end.
Bal Bharati Public School, GRH Marg organised Satrarambh 2024 to welcome young champs to the new session with utmost zeal and enthusiasm on 3 April 2024. The event started with a formal welcome followed by lighting of the lamp by Mr. Laksh Vir Sehgal, revered Principal, Ms. Nita Nijhara, honourable Headmistress, GR Campus, Ms. Reetu Dawar, respected Headmistress, PR Campus, Ms. Juhi Grover, our cherished Headmistress, Montessori Department, Group Captain Ravinder Bhatnagar, the administrative officer, Mr. Anand Seth, Sports Director, Mr. Akhilesh, EO. The newly bought idols of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Saraswati were sanctified, and their blessings were formally taken by Dr. Lalit Mishra Manglacharan. Meaningful shlokas were sung by Dr. Yuvraj Bhattarai, Senior Sanskrit Teacher and Dr. Virender Kumar, Sanskrit Teacher, Middle Department presented the significance of Satrarambh Ceremony. Pandit Lalit Mishra performed the entire Havan ceremony. Students from all the departments of the school including the Head Boy and the Head Girl participated in the ceremony and graced the occasion with utmost poise and discipline. Students were enthralled by the charm and grace of the devotional songs sung by the music faculty members. The programme culminated with Hanuman Chalisa sung by Dr. Suman Kumar Jha, Senior Vocal Music Teacher. Students from all the departments relished the prashad with devotion and faith for a brighter and vibrant future.
The Annual Cultural Class Presentation Rangotsav, was organised on March 20, 2024 by BBPS Primary Department Pusa Road Campus, providing a platform for the students of class II to express their creativity, celebrate diversity, and cultivate confidence in showcasing their cultural heritage.
The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of two former teachers of the school, Ms Panchali Ramani and Ms Seema Chaudhary as guest of honour. The event showcased dynamic Gallery Walk on three distinct celebrations: Bihu, Onam, and Baisakhi, instilling a deep appreciation for Harvest festivals. The cultural event commenced with a soulful prayer followed by the school anthem sung by the school choir. Young instrumentalists breathed life into the soulful
melodies of Rajasthani folk music through their skill and creativity. The exploration of Indian Folk Music from the state of Rajasthan resonated with echoes of centuries past, with modern and traditional instruments creating a unique and captivating sound. Through a musical play, ‘Rangili Fuhaar’ the festival of Holi, embodying the triumph of good over evil, was celebrated with vibrant splashes of gulal, spreading joy and love as a unifying force. The theatrical presentation depicted the festival’s cultural essence through the mythological tale of Prahlad and Hiranyakashipu, exploring themes of devotion and righteousness. The narrative also delved into the deep significance of Radha and Krishna’s divine love, capturing Holi’s dynamic vitality through dance, music, and yoga.The Annual Class Cultural Presentation, Rangotsav, was a vibrant celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage and truly exemplified the spirit of cultural exchange and artistic expression.
Aashirvachan Samaroh, the formal farewell ceremony of the class of 2024 was held on Saturday, 17 February 2024. After welcoming the students in a traditional manner, ceremonial lighting of the lamp and floral tribute to Goddess Saraswati, the Principal addressed the students. He emphasized the importance of being positive, resilient, connected and compassionate in life. The Examination In- harge and the Academic Co-ordinator shared useful examination tips. The programme culminated with the distribution of the Admit Card for the CBSE Examination 2024 by the respective class teachers.
THEME – Bharat ki Kahani Bacchon ki Zubani: Carrying Forward India’s Rich Legacy
In the spirit of unity and celebration, young performers of class V presented an astounding Annual Cultural Class Presentation embracing the theme “Carrying Forward India’s Rich Legacy,” on December 7,2023 ,delving into Indian roots- our rich past,progression and current dominance owing to its self- ependence,positivity and remarkable evolution to the present day.
The programme commenced with lighting of the ceremonial lamp to symbolize the beginning of the cultural journey followed by a formal welcome of the esteemed guests for the day and Principal Sir’s motivating address. The school choir presented the prayer and the school song. A spectacular yoga performance showed a glimpse of early Gurukul lifestyle which was the perfect blend of yoga and spiritual harmony was enjoyed the most.
The talented class V students took everyone on a mesmerizing journey, weaving through time from the ancient Vedic Period to the dynamic pulse of Modern India. Musical renditions by the school choir showcased the diversity of India and instilled everyone with a feeling of patriotism. Our brilliant dancers performed on a Sufi song, ‘Vande Matram’ and Tagore’s Mind Without Fear leaving everyone mesmerized. The program also reinforced a connection to the nation’s identity and unity. Engaging role plays were also a part of this inspiring act, Significant historical events and personalities were depicted through our expressive students and awe inspiring narration connecting historical milestones to the cultural evolution of India.
The entire event was an enriching and informative portrayal of India’s rich legacy that motivated our students to carry forward the same with equal gusto.
Bal Bharati Public School Ganga Ram Hospital Marg in collaboration with Energy Swaraj Foundation and National Progressive School Conference participates in National Energy Literacy Week (NELW) to empower individuals and communities with the knowledge and tools needed for a sustainable future. More than 300 students and teachers have registered in the Energy Literary Test. The students of the Environment Club celebrated the Energy Literary Week by reciting poems and sharing their experiences of attempting the Energy Literary Test.
अन्तरराष्ट्रीय गीता जयंती के अवसर पर, बाल भारती पब्लिक स्कूल गंगाराम हॉस्पिटल मार्ग ने 23 दिसंबर 2023 शनिवार को छात्रों, के लिए विद्यालय में गीता के चयनित श्लोकों का पाठ-स्पर्धा का आयोजन किया। इस श्लोक पाठ स्पर्धा कार्यक्रम में दिल्ली शिक्षा निदेशालय द्वारा निर्दिष्ट भगवद्गीता के कतिपय चयनित श्लोकों का पाठ शामिल था। इस गीता श्लोक पाठ कार्यक्रम में छठवीं कक्षा से कक्षा दशवीं तक के डेढ सौ से अधिक छात्रों ने सक्रिय प्रतिभागिता की।
इस गीता श्लोक पाठ कार्यक्रम में सर्वप्रथम उपप्रधानाचार्य श्रीयुता विनीता धवन और मुख्याध्यापिका श्रीयुता नीता निझारा जी ने विधिवद् रूप से छात्रों द्वारा किए गये वैदिक मन्त्रोच्चारण के बीच दीप प्रज्वलित कर उद्घाटन किया। इसके बाद उन्होंने गणेश जी की प्रतिमा, श्रीमद् भगवद् गीता की प्रति और तुलसी पादप पर पुष्प एवं माल्यार्पण किए और विद्यालयीय अंतरराष्ट्रीय गीता महोत्सव का शुभारंभ किया। इसके पश्चात् उन्होंने छात्रों का सामूहिक गीता श्लोक पाठ का श्रवण किया और उनकी श्लोक प्रस्तुतियों का अवलोकन किया। कार्यक्रम की प्रमुख समन्वयिका, विद्यालय की वरिष्ठ संस्कृत शिक्षिका डॉ. ज्योत्स्ना श्रीवास्तव बतौर मुख्य निर्णायक की भूमिका में भी उपस्थित रहीं। डॉ. वीरेन्द्र शर्मा जी ने द्वितीय निर्णायक की भूमिका में अपना योगदान दिया।
श्लोक पाठ कार्यक्रम में औद्घाटनिक उद्बोधन देते हुए उपप्रधानाचार्या श्रीयुता विनीता धवन जी ने छात्रों को बताया कि गीता का संदेश सार्वकालिक और सार्वभौमिक है। यह ज्ञान जितना पहले उपयोगी था, उतना आज भी है इसीलिये हमे गीता का अध्ययन अवश्य करना चाहिए।
श्लोक पाठ स्पर्धा के सत्रांत वक्तव्य में मुख्याध्यापिका श्रीमती नीता निझारा ने कहा कि आज विद्यालय में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय गीता जयंती महोत्सव के अनुष्ठान का ऐतिहासिक अवसर है।
इस कार्यक्रम से एक ओर जहां छात्रों ने गीता के श्लोक कंठस्थ किए वहीं विद्यालय परिसर में सभी शिक्षकों, छात्रों और कर्मचारियों ने आध्यात्मिक माहौल का अनुभव किया।
