NCC Caretaker Orientation Training Programme
A 12-day NCC Caretaker Orientation Training Programme was conducted from 22 March to 2 April 2021 by 7 Delhi Girls Battalion at Kirti Nagar, New Delhi, under the aegis of the NCC GP HQ Rohini. Bhawna Pachouri (Physical Education Department) attended the rigorous Orientation Training Programme and topped in the assessment exam conducted after the training.
Indiens Beste Deutschlehrerin (Best German Teacher)
Indo German Teachers’ Association along with Goethe Institut, conducted a competition: Indiens Beste Deutschlehrerin (Best German Teacher) for German Teachers. Ms. Sabina Chowdhary won the First Prize in the category: ‘Best Teacher in a PASCH School’.

1M1B (One Million for One Billion), a United Nations accredited not-for-profit organization announced Lead Z Teacher awards for teachers, educators, changemakers and mentors across India. Child Nutrition and Cooking
Ms. Neha (PGT Chemistry) completed a certified course with Stanford University on Child Nutrition and Cooking through COURSERA. The course gave her an insight into healthy food, organic and local produce, food security, and was in accordance with the sustainable development goals.
Google Certified Educator
Ms. Nidhi Bajaj (TGT Mathematics) has been granted the qualification of Google Certified Educator - Level 1 for demonstrating the fundamental knowledge, skills and competencies needed to implement Google for Education tools.
Mr AVL Raghavendra successfully completed an online course ‘Going Further With Apple Motion 5’ and ‘Getting Started in Apple Motion 5’ from Udemy- An Online Learning Platform.
He received a course certification for successful completion of the course 'Introduction to Philosophy’ on 23 May 2020 from the University of Edinburgh.
Ms Neenu Singh (PGT English) attended ‘UQ Educator Empowerment Program’ from the University of Queensland, Australia.
Essay Writing Competition
Ms Mansi (TGT Science) was awarded the III Position in ‘Essay Writing Competition’ organized by Study Group (An Initiative of Action Committee) on the theme ‘Recalibrating Pedagogy after the Lockdown’. Ms Radha Nair (PGT English) & Ms V. R. Geetha (TGT Science) received the Consolation positions for the same.
Google Earth Sustainability Program for Teachers
Ms. Pooja Seth (PGT Chemistry) is shortlisted amongst 50 teachers,elected from all over India, to be a part of Google Earth Sustainability Program for Teachers – an online tech-educational program introduced by TERI.
BANDANA SEN LIBRARY AWARD

Ms Satwinder Kaur, Art teacher, Primary Department was honoured with the National Lalit Kala Academy Award by Hon’ble President Shri Ram Nath Kovind in an impressive ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on 4 March 2020. She was awarded a cash prize of ₹ 2,00,000/-,a plaque and a certificate for her art work, Contemplation I, an etching form of art which is displayed at Lalit Kala Art Gallery.
International acclaim for Art work
Ms. Satwinder Kaur (Asstt. Tr. Art) has received international acclaim for her art work. Her painting, ‘Communication II’ was selected to be displayed in The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art And Design 2018 in Wroclaw, Poland; ‘Red Mask’ has been chosen in the permanent collection of China Printmaking Museum; and her art work was also selected in 3rd Bienal International De Miniprint 2018 in Argentina. Additionally, her art work was also selected for All India Art and Craft Exhibition 2018 at AIFACS, ND.
Delhi State Master Athletics Championships 2018-19
Mr. Ravinder Singh Dahiya (TGT Physical Ed.) was awarded Merit Certificates for getting the First Position in the events, Long Jump and Triple Jump in the Delhi State Master Athletics Championships 2018-19 held on 13 January 2019 .
He has been selected to represent Delhi State in the 40th National Masters Athletics Championships 2019 to be held at Guntur, Andhra Pradesh in February 2019.
‘Benin : A Francophone Nation’
Ms. Aarti Singhal (TGT French) was among the 120 participants who attended a two-day conference conducted by the Embassy of France in India, Institut Français, Alliance Francaise (India / Nepal), University of Delhi and Goyal Saab.
She presented the project ‘Benin : A Francophone Nation’ and won the second position and a cash prize of Rs. 2000/-.
GURU DRONA AWARD FOR PRINCIPAL

Conclave with Corporates on Road Safety
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India in partnership with ASSOCHAM, CII, FICCI, IRF and SIAM organised a Conclave with Corporates on Road Safety at Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra, Chanakyapuri on 26.4.18.
Ms.Reetu Dawar from Pusa Road Campus was invited as a guest speaker. She presented a talk on the topic - Education and Media's Role in Road Safety. The talk was supplemented with a presentation on road safety activities conducted by the school in the past three years. The efforts of the school were applauded by all present.

Ms Anju Arora, TGT Hindi was among the 80 teachers from all over India, to be felicitated for her notable contributions towards Hindi Language by Madhuban group of publication. The felicitation ceremony was a part of ‘Hindi Hai Hum’ programme organised by Madhuban Publications on 14 September 2017 which is celebrated as Hindi Diwas. The program held at Arya Auditorium, ND was graced by eminent personalities, Dr. Usha Sharma, Professor, NCERT; Mr Firoz Khan, grandson of Maulana Azad; Dr. Ravi Prakash Tekchandani, Ex-Director, Central Hindi Directorate; and Dr. Pradeep Jain, besides representatives from more than 300 schools.
SANSKRIT SAMARADHAK SAMMAN
The Sanskrit Samaradhak Samman event was held on 3 August 2017 at Kamani Auditorium wherein teachers who work hard to promote Sanskrit language were honoured by the Delhi Sanskrit Academy, Delhi Government. The chief guest of the event was Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Mr. Manish Sisodia. Six teachers from our school - Dr. (Mrs.) Sunita Gehani, Dr. (Mrs.) Jyotsna Srivastava, Mrs. Archana Srivastava, Mr. Suman Jha, Mr. Yuvraj Bhattarai and Mr. Deepak Sharma were felicitated with a certificate, books and a shawl each.

Ms Satwinder, Asst. Teacher – Art participated in 83rd All India Exhibition of Fine Arts at Amritsar using etching technique she portrayed “Communication between women & Society” on the canvas. She has been awarded 1st Position; honoured with a Silver Plaque and a Cash Award of Rs 51,000/-

Ms Poonam Sondhi, Ms Anju Marwah, Ms. Manjari Gupta and Ms Satinder Kaur (TGT Science) were part of the All India group constituted by CBSE for this purpose.
The school was the Centre for evaluation of JEE ARCH 2017 answer sheets from 9 to 14 May 2017. Under the guidance of Chief Nodal officer, Mr L V Sehgal; and Supervisor, Ms Meena Malhotra, the competent school staff was involved in coordination of answer sheets and posting of award lists for the same.
Ms. Aarti Singhal (TGT French) and Ms. Jyotsna Srivastava (TGT Sanskrit) participated in Microsoft workshop at Ramjas School, Pusa Road on 24 April 2017. They earned three badges and two certificates in three courses namely “Hour of Code”, “Sway”, and “Digital Citizenship” and have also been designated as “Microsoft Innovative Explorer” (MIE).

While doing Action Research conducted by BBPS Training Centre, Dr Sunita Gehani came across a Research Paper forwarded by the Resource Person, Dr Neeraja Raghavan. Her response was published in the April'17 issue of a magazine namely ‘Teacher Plus’.

Ms Satinder Kaur (TGT Science) was bestowed; Special Meritorious service Award’ for her dedicated support towards the International Award for Young people (IAYP) programme. The Annual Gold Award Ceremony was held at India International Centre, ND on 20 July 2017.
Geeta Balani, PGT Mathematics has been appointed as Principal, Hemnani Public School, Lajpat Nagar. She shall be assuming charge on 1 August 2017.
Mr. Surajit Chatterjee, PGT Engineering Graphics has been appointed as Principal, BBPS, Jharli. He assumed charge on 12 June 2017.
Delhi Sanskrit Academy, Govt. of Delhi, organized a Prize Distribution ceremony at Shankarlal Auditorium, Delhi University on 29 September 2016 for honouring teachers and schools for their outstanding contributions in promoting Sanskrit language. Mr. N.K. Sharma, Language Secretary, Delhi Government presided over the Ceremony. The school was one among the 20 schools from Delhi NCR to have been selected for this prestigious award. The Institute for Environment, Yoga and Social Security awarded Paresh Prasad Singh Millennium National Teacher Award 2015-16 to Ms Nita Nijhara, PGT English, in appreciation of valuable services rendered to the cause of Education. The award was bestowed upon her by Maj Gen. G. D. Bakshi, MLA Ms Bandana Kumari and Supreme Court Lawyer & MLA Mr Madan Lal in a ceremony held at India International Centre on 3 September 2016.
The Principal, Mr LV Sehgal was a panelist at the Launch Forum of the prestigious Pearson Voice of Teacher Survey on the theme Building Learner Engagement - focusing on student engagement levels, changes in student behaviour, deterrents and enablers to engagement. The event was held on 1 September 2016 at Imperial Hotel, ND.

Aarti Singhal (TGT French) has been selected to present a research paper by the organizing committee of the 3rdInternational Colloquium of Teachers of French and 36th National Congress of Indian Association of Teachers of French (IATF). She shall be presenting the paper on the topic, “The CEFR in the Indian Context, is it possible?” in the Conference being held on the theme, “Learning French- Choices for tomorrow” at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai from 4 to 6 November 2016.
International Teacher coordinator for an online project
Ms. Ruchi Gupta (TGT Computer) has been appointed as the International Teacher coordinator for an online project, Regions 15, as a part of EUmIND.
The project brings 13 reputed schools all over Europe and India on one platform to carry out interactions via video conferencing and other sources on issues of global importance. Ms. Ruchi shall be responsible for ensuring effective communication with the partner schools, setting deadlines and monitoring the progress of the project on a regular basis. Overall, she is to ensure high quality standards of the project.
As an active member of the project, the school plays a major role in handling its day-to-day functioning and providing the students an exposure, at a global level.
Vice principal, Ms Geeta Gangwani in the capacity of British Council school Ambassador (BCSA) attended the All India International School Award (ISA) standardization workshop held at Hotel Lalit, New Delhi on 28 and 29 June 2016. The workshop focused on updation of documents like manual, checklists, PowerPoint presentations etc related to ISA based on the feedback and expertise of BCSAs.

Dr. (Mrs.) Jyotsna Srivastava and Mr. Yuvraj Bhattari, TGT Sanskrit, attended a three-day All India Sanskrit Conference- “Tridivasiya Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrit Sammelan” held from 28 to 31 March 2016 at Vigyan Bhavan, Delhi. Ms Jyotsna Srivastava presented a research paper on ‘Upanishads’. Mr. Yuvraj Bhattari presented a research paper on ‘Sanskrit Grammar’. The work of both the teachers was highly appreciated.
