TECHNOVANZA 7.0- An Interschool Technology Competition

Technovanza

Technology has veritably shown how our most far-fetched ideas today are destined to become tomorrow’s reality. It has become the engine of prosperity, accelerating evolution on the wheels of welfare. It has revolutionized the way we live and is reinventing the future every moment. Nevertheless, the onus of conjoining technology with ethical practices to ensure the welfare of all lies on man himself. It is important to enlighten the students about the need to
tether it and sensitize them about the right use of technology. Technovanza 7.0 was hosted online in the month of January to do just this.
The intent was to advocate the need for judicious use of technology for a better tomorrow. We hosted 5 unique events for classes 3 to 12 to bring out the latent talent in students and empower them to manoeuvre technology in such a way that it becomes their most potent tool to spearhead change. Thus ,the theme of the event was rightly chosen as “WORLD IN 2050.”Events like
1.Show and tell( class 3)
2.Poster Designing ( classes 4- 5)
3.Website designing ( classes 6-7)
4. Game development( classes 8-9)
5. App development ( classes 10-12) were designed meticulously to enable young learners discover the important life skills and develop higher-order thinking skills. The idea was to offer an opportunity to students to construct new blocks of knowledge and prepare for an ever-changing future.
Our endeavour was encouragingly supported by 45 fellow reputed schools of Delhi – NCR and we received overwhelming participation from the students .The stellar performance of the students gave our judges a tough time in selecting top 3 .The participation of our school was on non competitive basis but it did not deter the competitive streak among our students . We bagged merit positions in 3 events out of 5 .After evaluation of all categories of events ,Jain Bharati Mrigavati Vidyalaya bagged the position of overall winner with their participation in all 5 events and securing maximum marks .
The e certificates of participation were mailed to all the participants along with Merit certificates for first 3 positions event wise. The winner school was also issued an appreciation certificate in recognition of the stellar performances by their students.
We at Bal Bharati Public School, GRHM believe that educational opportunities and confidence-building are cogs of the same machine. Thus, it was an immense pleasure to provide a robust platform to students through which they could showcase their technical ingenuity and challenge themselves.
We look forward to Technovanza 8.0 in the next academic session with another theme prevailing to given times and futuristic technologies to challenge, encourage and test our young technocrats .

Care-a-Thon -An Inter School Event

We, at Bal Bharati Public School GRH Marg firmly believe that true education is the training of both, the head and the heart. Providing opportunities to students to experience situations and concepts that help them develop values and skills that shall stand the test of time and make them a truly global human being and not just a citizen of the world. In our endeavour to expose children to concepts outside the realms of the defined education curriculum and to arouse a feeling of love, kindness and compassion, the Care-a-Thon this year was one such opportunity that  allowed students of classes I – V to participate in activities that will help develop these values.

Care-a-Thon was an honest attempt to put forth activities that shall focus on developing compassionate and kind individuals. To propagate Kindness amongst children, the United Nations has decided to pass a resolution in the General Assembly in November 2021 to celebrate ‘International Kindness Day’. Our event too aimed at helping students understand that kindness is the key to live a happy and contented life as against life spent in pursuit of acquiring materialistic possessions. We are glad that through this event,  we could  create broader perspectives and provide real-world skills/values to all the participants.
