TECHNOVANZA 8.0- An Inter School Technology Festival 

Kofi Annan once said, “Our biggest challenge in this new century is to take an idea that seems abstract – sustainable development – and turn it into a reality for all the world’s people.”
Bal Bharati Public School, GRH Marg organised an inter school technological extravaganza TECHNOVANZA 8.0 on 4 November 2022, with a vision to generate awareness and empathy among our little senators of the future. It is an exemplary platform for the tech wizards to exhibit their prowess in various areas of technology and come up with few probable solutions to the glaring issues. Celebrating the harmonious development of technology in the field of education, and seeking inspiration from Kofi Annan’s words, achieving different ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ was taken as the theme for this year’s edition. We witnessed an overwhelming response from more than 20 schools that competed in different categories such as 3D DRAWING, GAME DEVELOPMENT, APP DEVELOPMENT, POSTER DESIGNING, MEME DESIGNING and IDEA PITCHING PRESENTATION. With the enduring presence of our revered Principal Mr L V Sehgal, along with our esteemed Vice Principal Ms Vinita Dhawan, our Headmistress Ms Nita Nijhara, Chief Coordinator Ms Sapna Behl, Headmistress PR Campus Ms Reetu Dawar and Ms Neelam Ahuja, Headmistress Montessori Department, the tech festival achieved its true essence and glory. The event began with the lighting of the lamp followed by the divine invocation presented by the school choir.
The audience was made well acquainted with some of the cornerstones achieved by the school in accomplishing its vision and mission of being ahead of its time. This was followed by a creatively curated presentation displaying the event’s theme and activities planned for its participants. The plethora of events were organised at different venues in the school and adjudged by renowned panelists and experts in their fields, from within and outside the school, namely Mr Pradeep Ghora, Associate Consultant at INFOSYS, Dr Narjeet Kaur, Mr Shreshth
Khandelwal, Ms Applee Khattar Arora, Dr Gaurav Kapoor along with Ms Juhi Grover, Ms Megha Arora, Ms Pinky Ghati, Ms Satwinder Kaur, Mr Vivek Kaushik, Ms Pooja Ahuja and Ms Rashmi Bindal Gupta respectively. The valedictory ceremony witnessed an astounding cheer and enthusiasm by all the participants as they awaited the results. The ceremony began with an instrumental rendition by our young instrumentalists. It was graced by all the jury members and esteemed members of the school who awarded our stalwarts, basking in the glory of their achievements. BAL BHARATI PUBLIC SCHOOL, ROHINI was awarded the Best School Trophy. The event culminated with the formal Vote of Thanks presented by the Headmistress Ms Nita Nijhara.

Vivid Delight- Art Exhibition in Metaverse

 Technology is redefining art in strange, new ways.Today, these two seemingly distinct disciplines are interlinked more than ever. Metaverse is aggressively emerging as a future technology which will redefine our interaction with the present world .It is a virtual, digital, 3D universe formed by merging diverse virtual spaces and physical worlds. Users can enter this digital universe in their digital avatars and move across and interact within the Metaverse.

NANHE KRANTIKARI- The Annual Play by The Dramatics Club

On Saturday, 6 August 2022, the Dramatics Club of Bal Bharati Public School,
GRH Marg presented the annual play in Hindi, Nanhe Krantikari, written and
directed by the drama teacher of the school, Dr. Shri Ankush Sharma. Focussing
on the presentation of an unsung warrior of the freedom struggle in context of
the present-day world, the play marked the celebration of the glorious 75 years
of India’s independence and supported the Government’s initiative of Azadi ka
Amrit Mahotsav. The insightful play showcased the school’s commitment to
facilitate holistic education, perpetuate Indian values and culture, while
promoting global citizenship among the learners.

The occasion was graced by the presence of the noteworthy 3-times Vashishta
Sewa Medal awardee, Dr (Lt. Gen) C S Narayanan, HOD and Consultant,
Department of Neurology, Research and Referral Army Hospital – as the Chief
guest. Further, the presence of the eminent Sanskrit scholar, Dr. Jwala Prasad,
Registrar, National school of Drama as the Guest of Honour also helped to
enhance the significance of the occasion. Additionally, the august audience for
the day also included the distinguished President of CES, Mr Nikhil Channa.

Blood Donation Camp

Alumni Association & Interact Club of the school  organised a  ‘Blood Donation Camp’ in school on Saturday  30 July 2022.

Vaccination Drive in School Auditorium

Bal Bharati Public School, GRHM in association with Ganga Ram Hospital organized Covid 19 Vaccination Drive on 16th July 2022. The aim of the vaccination drive was to  get every citizen of India vaccinated. The vaccination drive was open for all eligible Citizens of India above 12 years of age. All the Vaccines( COVISHIELD,  COVAXIN,  COVOVAX) were available at the center Awareness was created among students and parents through social media, class groups and regular announcements in the classes by respective class teachers. Total number of citizen vaccinated during the drive were 38.

Overall the vaccination drive went well.

International Yoga Day

Our school has always promoted fitness and a holistic development of its learners and with the same objective the 8th International Yoga Day ‘AAROGYAM’ was celebrated on 21 June 2022 in the school premises in the exuberating presence of 160 people including staff, parents and students. The International Yoga Day was not just about the display of asanas but involved an exhaustive plan of activities spread throughout the month. YOGKALA was organised in the third week of May 2022 for the students of the Middle and Primary Department presenting some highly creative and artistic pieces of art defining the roots of Yoga. They highlighted the importance of the art of yoga on a canvas splashing with colours and thoughts through posters, clay mouldings, message cards. An informative video was shared in all the class groups on 30 May 2022.

To define the importance of discipline and focus in life, the story of ARJUNA: THE WARRIOR PRINCE was performed by Perry Chhabra (VIII G) through a series of asanas and beautifully narrated by Nidhyana Sethi (VIII D). The video was shared in all the class groups on 6 June 2022. The Quizzing Club of Middle Department organised a quiz on 20th June 2022 for classes IV-XII. The Quiz was made live at 5 pm comprising 20 questions to be attempted in a span of 30 minutes. 558 students participated in the quiz and a message declaring top 10 scorers was circulated in the class groups. The glorious event of International Yoga Day, filled with peace and tranquility, was streamed online through our YouTube channel.

Summer Camp 2022

With an objective to foster development of creative, cognitive, physical and emotional skills amongst the learners, our school organised a Summer Camp from 24 May 2022 to 14 June 2022. Through a plethora of activities in the field of sports, art and writing, children were acquainted with their pragmatic and theoretical aspects constructively. Spread across 14 astounding activities, the camp witnessed a positive participation of 367 students. Students exhibited their physical strength in sports like Tennis, Badminton, Basketball, Football along with their creative strength in constructing and designing some wonderful pieces of art using colours, quilling, clay etc. We also encountered some brilliant budding chefs in our Cooking Without Fire activity where they learnt to prepare some lip smacking dishes. To achieve the learning outcomes of understanding and comprehension of English as a language, children were enthusiastically engaged in writing and speaking activities like Storytelling, Conversation and dialogue completion, Show and Tell and many more. To boost physical and mental strength, our learners were also taught some of the most beneficial yogic asanas.

Endings herald a new beginning and both deserve an equal celebration.
PULSE 2022 finally comes to a successful fruition today. This mega inter-school event has certainly been a perfect blend of talent, imagination, creativity and dynamic participation.
We applaud the originality of ideas that extended the bond of learning. We hope this event has been a joyous experience for all and has propagated the message that sustainability is no longer about doing less harm. It’s about doing more good.

Bal Bharati Public Schools commemorate the first Death Anniversary of Late Shri L. R. Channa, Former President, Child Education Society, the distinguished visionary and fountainhead of excellence & commitment, who left for his heavenly abode on 15 May 2021.In remembrance of his commitment to Wellness and Health, CES launches – Yoga Sankalp, an earnest endeavour undertaken as a tribute to his glorious life- a life passionately dedicated to the noble cause of holistic education.

This programme also aspires to consolidate the Government of India’s commitment to raise awareness of the many benefits of practicing Yoga with celebration of International Day of Yoga held on 21 June, every year.
CES has collaborated with Mokshayatan Yog Sansthan, one of the most prominent Yoga institutes of India running under holy tutelage of Yogiraj Padmashri Swami Bharat Bhushan ji for over 48 years and spreading the humanitarian aspect of yoga across the globe with a motto ‘Shakti:Sanyam: Seva’. Under Yoga Sankalp, specially curated videos on themes based on physical, mental and emotional well-being will be shared with the students and the parents of Bal Bharati Public Schools pan India. The videos will feature Acharya Pratishtha Ji, Director Mokshyatan Yoga Sansthan, who apart from being a Yoga Guru is an internationally acclaimed Cultural Expert, Classical Dance exponent, Mind Therapist, Author & a Scholar.

We sincerely hope that not only the students, but the community at large, will benefit from this unique initiative taken up by Bal Bharati Public Schools in partnership with Mokshyatan Yog Sansthan.

SPIC MACAY-Anubhav -4

Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (‘SPIC-MACAY’ ), is a 45-year old non-profit, non-political, voluntary, global youth movement.

During the pandemic, dynamic volunteers of SPIC-MACAY started conducting online programme- ANUBHAV instead of waiting endlessly for normalcy to return.

Bal Bharati Public School, (GRH) got the pleasure to  celebrate ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ by organising ANUBHAV-4 under the guidance of SPIC MACAY and telecasting these beautiful workshops live on our YouTube channel.
