Activity : Play with numbers: SUDOKU
The club Activity Playing with Numbers: Sudoku was conducted on 17 February 2022. Children were apprised of the rules and equipment required to play the game through a guided tutorial shared on Connected Classrooms portal. The activity helped the children improve their memory and boost their brain power.
Activity : Hit The Dot: KANCHE ( MARBLES)
In the Club Activity conducted on 20 January 2022, students were introduced to the traditional game – Hit the Dot: Kanche (Marbles).The classic game improved their hand-eye coordination and the ability to aim correctly while judging the level of force required to hit the other marbles. Children watched the guided tutorial shared on Connected Classrooms portal and learnt to play the game. The activity gave the children an opportunity to enjoy a traditional game and have a hands-on fun learning experience.
Activity : Push And Rush - Cock Fight
With an aim to foster physical development and brain stimulation, students were introduced to the indigenous game – Push and Rush: Cock Fight, through the club activity organised on 18 November 2021. Children were apprised of the rules and equipment required to play the game through the guided tutorial shared on the Connected Classrooms portal. The activity gave the children an opportunity to enjoy a traditional game and respect and appreciate cultural diversity.
Activity : Play your Way- Coach Says
With an aim to improve coordination and foster social skills, students were introduced to the traditional indigenous game – ‘Coach Says’ through the club activity organised on 21 October 2021. Children were apprised of the rules and equipment required to play the game through a tutorial shared on the Connected Classroom portal. Our sporty champions enjoyed playing this game with their friends and family members. The game truly aimed at enhancing the acoustic abilities and dexterity skills of the children.
Activity : Back to the roots-Gilli Danda
With an aim to improve hand-eye coordination and foster a healthy competitive spirit, students were introduced to the traditional game - Gilli Danda through the club activity organised on 23 September 2021. Children were apprised of the rules and equipment required to play the game and they also learnt to make their own Gilli-Danda using the paper mache technique through the guided tutorial shared on the Connected Classrooms portal. Our sports enthusiasts enjoyed playing this amateur sport.
Activity: Rolly Polly- Roll the Ball
The Sporty Champions Club organized the activity Rolly Polly: Roll the Ball for the students with an objective to teach them the basic skills needed for passing and catching a ball. The innovative game helped the children enhance their psychomotor skills, concentration and hand-eye coordination.
The students were introduced to the game and briefed about the equipment used to play the game through a guided module. They thoroughly enjoyed playing this addictive game and the videos and pictures shared by them were a true reflection of their joy.
Activity : Spin and Win: Top Spin (lattoo)
Under the aegis of the club, students were made familiar with the traditional game of Spinning the Top –Lattoo. To apprise the students of the same, a guided module about the origin, types of spin, benefits of playing the game was uploaded on Connected Classrooms. The children tried playing the game at home and shared their pictures & videos. In this activity, students were motivated to make the Top at home using waste material thereby sensitising them towards the need to recycle & reuse to protect our environment.
Activity: OLD IS GOLD- Gitte
Sports are crucial for the growth and development of the children. They help in both mental and physical fitness of the body. Through participation in sports & games, a student gains experiences which lead to enhancement of various skills & build confidence.
In the Virtual Club activity held on 22.04.21 , the children were introduced to the traditional game ‘Gitte' (Five Stones). The rules of the game, along with all the different levels of the game were demonstrated by the club master through a video tutorial. The children tried playing the game at home and shared their pictures & videos.
