“Learning Fiesta"

Learning Fiesta-Gala time filled with fun,sports activities experiential learning and creativity.

Activity week was conducted from 3 to 5 March 2020 for classes IV and V. The activities included art and craft activities, excursion to Aapno Ghar, vocabulary quiz, story narration with puppets. The sports activity, ‘Khel Mahotsav’ included diverse build up activities like broad jump, zigzag race, shuttle race, etc. Activities consisting of needle work, button sewing, laying the table, table manners, tying tie knot and shoe laces imparted the essential life skill to students. The Activity Week also helped to inculcate scientific skills by engaging
them in various science experiments.

“INDIA INNOVATE: WHEELS TO FLY"

India Innovate - Wheels to fly is an initiative by Juana Technologies for school children to make them understand and implement the principles of Science in an interactive manner. The Resource Person Mukul Negi, Program Manager “INDIA INNOVATE: WHEELS TO FLY”, explained the mechanism involved in making a model Glider. Thirteen teams from classes IV and V participated in the school round of Glider Race Competition held on 25 February 2020.

The students designed their Gliders in accordance with the principles explained to them. The distance travelled by various Gliders was monitored and the result was thus declared. The participants will be given a participation certificate from Juana Technologies. The top three teams have been invited for regional level competition.

Assembly- ' Theme: New Year Resolutions'

“The right way to determine your future is by creating it.”

With this thought, the students of the Mother Teresa House presented a refreshing assembly on 17 January 2020 on the theme “New Year Resolutions”.

The speakers enthusiastically welcomed all to the first assembly of the New Year. The assembly commenced with the morning prayer, thought of the day followed by the updated news of the week. The students also presented an enthralling skit on New Year Resolutions and encouraged other students that everyone must make a fresh beginning to the new year by promising themselves to change for their betterment by inculcating good and healthy habits. Aarav of Class V-D recited a self -composed poem “New Year Beginnings” to mark the celebration of the new year. This was followed by a melodious solo song by the budding singer from Class V.

The assembly concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony for the achievers of the Funtoot, an enriching platform for enhancing the Mathematical skills. Mr Ravi Rohan from Funtoot presented the certificates and medals to the students.

Assembly- ' Books are our Best Friends'

Mother Teresa House presented an informative and thought provoking assembly on 1 November 2019 on the theme “Books- Our Best Friends”. The enthusiastic speakers highlighted the importance of reading books and also shared a brief information on the kinds of literature available for young readers.

To capture the interest of the audience, some students dressed up as the famous characters from fantasy and fictional world of stories. A poem was recited to sensitize students to take proper care of their books.

The assembly concluded with an oath to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel which is celebrated as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.

Investiture Ceremony

 

‘Serve with Pride, Lead with Confidence, Inspire to Impact lives'

To honour and celebrate excellence, C.V. Raman House of the Primary Department , GR Unit organised the Investiture Ceremony (2019-20), one of the most important and traditional ceremony eagerly awaited by all the students of the school on 30 August 2019. It reminds us of the trust and confidence that we repose in our newly elected School Council. Ms Meena Malhotra, Vice Principal gave away the badges to the newly elected office bearers. The Prefects’ Badges were distributed by the Class Coordinators.
Upon completion of badge giving ceremony, all the newly elected members of the School Council took a solemn oath to serve the school to the best of their abilities and abide by the school rules with utmost discipline and perseverance. Mr L.V.Sehgal, the Principal gave a heartfelt and motivating message to the elected members stressing upon the fact that with power comes great responsibility .
