Designing Our Future-“From Trash to Treasure”
Date: 15 October-25 October 2020
“If it can’t be reduced, reused, repaired, rebuilt, refurbished, refinished, resold, recycled, or composted, then it should be restricted, designed, or removed from production.”
Waste is the greatest threat to today’s world. Proper management of waste is important for building sustainable and liveable cities. In order to make students feel responsible and proactive, Children for International Community Club conducted a collage-making activity Designing our Future- “From Trash to Treasure” for the students of Grade IV as a part of ISA action plan for a secure and sustainable future.
Students showcased their creativity by presenting the collected information in the form of an informative collage by accumulating facts on various ways of dealing with waste in countries like India, Philippines, Sweden, and Uganda enabling students to gather knowledge about various types of waste, ways to prevent and control waste and compare the methods adopted by these countries to use this waste in a productive manner. It also made them feel responsible for Mother Earth.
