Celebrating the pure spirit of the language, a Sanskrit Exhibition was organised in the school premises, for the second consecutive year, on 3 November 2023. The event was graced by Arya Bhushan Shukl, IAS (Retd.), Head of Department, Bharat Vidya Purokana (Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts), as the Chief Guest along with Dr. Devakinandan (NCERT) provincial minister Sanskrit Bharati Delhi Province. As the Special Guest, Dr. Sunil Joshi (News Editor and Speaker of Sanskrit desk of DD News) and Dr. Sanjeev Panchal ji, Assistant Director, Indira Gandhi National Banana Centre, New Delhi were present. The exhibition was divided into two sessions, wherein the first one was a rendezvous with Sanskrit language and its promotion in and outside school while the latter one was an online interaction with Sanskrit Scholars namely Professor Diwakar Acharya from Spalding Professor of Eastern Religions and Ethics Oxford University and Nitish Rai Parwani, an alumnus of the school and Research Scholar (Vedanta Studies), University of Oxford. The special feature of this exhibition was that along with all the wealth of knowledge, science, spirituality, drama, music, dance, yoga, Ayurveda, Vaastu, craft, painting and sculpture etc., contained in the traditional Indian oriental science Sanskrit-literature, were displayed .

Technovanza 9.0
Technology, when harnessed for good, has the power to transform competition into a force for innovation and progress.
Bal Bharati Public School, GRH Marg organised an inter school technological extravaganza TECHNOVANZA 9.0 on 29 October 2023, with a vision to generate awareness and empathy among our little senators of the future. It is an exemplary platform for the tech wizards to exhibit their prowess in various areas of technology and come up with few probable solutions to the glaring issues. Celebrating the harmonious development of technology in the field of education, the way it has bridged the borders and seeking inspiration from the given words, ‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam’ was taken as the theme for this year’s edition. We witnessed an overwhelming response from more than 23 schools that competed in different categories such as 3D DRAWING, GAME JAM, COMIC STORY, MOVIEMANIA and EMBELLISHING DYSFUNCTIONALITY. With the endearing presence of our revered Vice Principal Ms.Vinita Dhawan, along with our esteemed Headmistress, Ms.Nita Nijhara, Ms. Reetu Dawar, Headmistress Primary Department PR Campus, Ms. Juhi Grover, Headmistress PS & PP, our administrative officer Group Captain Ravinder Bhatnagar and Sports Director, Mr. Anand Seth, the tech festival achieved its true essence and glory. The event began with the lighting of the lamp followed by the divine invocation presented by the school choir. The audience was made well acquainted with some of the cornerstones achieved by the school in accomplishing its vision and mission of being ahead of its time. This was followed by a creatively curated presentation displaying the event’s theme and activities planned for its participants. The events were judged by an eminent jury composed of thoughtfully chosen experts in various fields of technology. The event’s jury exhibited remarkable expertise and fairness, ensuring a judicious evaluation process. Their discerning judgment and dedication elevated the overall quality of the competition. One of the judges for the event – Comic Story joined us online via Google Meet from Bangalore to judge the event. This special event also had a sponsorship of gift vouchers from Tata Croma. The valedictory ceremony held in the packed auditorium began with an enchanting performance by the school band. This was followed by the introduction of the jury panel. The school expressed gratitude by gifting a planter and a Stoll to each one of them. MS. Vinita Dhawan, Vice Principal and Ms. Nita Nijhara, Headmistress Middle Department felicitated all prize winners during the award ceremony. They were joined by judges of various events. Our school, being the gracious host, did not compete for any position though our students did perform well.The overall trophy is bagged by Sachdeva Public School, Pitampura for scoring highest marks and participating in all events.
Splendour 2023- The Fun Fair
An Inter school event ‘Splendour 2023- The Fun Fair’ was organized by the Montessori department on 16th September 2023 in the school premises. Around 20 schools from all over Delhi & NCR were invited to participate in the celebration of fun, laughter and excitement embracing the spirit of openness and inclusivity.
Mr. L.V.Sehgal, Principal, Mrs. Nanu Rekhi and Mrs. Neelam Ahuja, Advisors Pre-primary, CES were the guests for the event. Pre-Primary students presented a cultural programme.
Children of Pre-School and Pre-Primary from the invited schools along with their teacher escorts enthusiastically participated in the array of activities like Puppet Came Alive (Puppet Show), Yummy in My Tummy (Flameless Cooking), Craft-O- Mania (Art & Craft), Rock & Roll (Dance Floor) organized for these young learners.
It was a wonderful celebration of collaboration, friendship and the shared pursuit of fun and enjoyment which would create lasting memories fostering a sense of community and school spirit.
Soundscapes 2.0
SOUNDSCAPES 2.0- Inter School Fusion Band Competition
The Middle Department of Bal Bharati Public School, GRH Marg organised an inter school fusion band competition ‘SOUNDSCAPES’ on 20 October 2023 in the school auditorium, with an aspiration to encourage the creative abilities of our learners. The event witnessed an enthralling participation from different schools across the city. The competition was judged by three esteemed jury members namely Mr Kishore Kumar, an erudite in the field of music who dedicated 50 years of his life in composing resonating melodies and worked closely with famous personalities like our evergreen singer Ms Asha Bhosle. The second jury member was Mr Vivek Kumar Prajapati, an Indian Classical Vocalist of ‘Delhi Gharana’ and a disciple of Ustad Iqbal Ahmad Khan. The third eminent jury member and a proud alumnus of the school was Mr Vijay Longani whose melodious voice has topped the charts across the digital music platforms including the music giant T-Series. The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp. The 18 school teams performed enthusiastically and set the stage on fire with their feisty tunes and fiery vocalists. Bal Bharati Public School, Dwarka emerged as the Winner of the event followed by Delhi Public School, Safdarjung Enclave at the Second position and Goodley Public School, Dwarka at the Third position. The Judges’ Choice Award was received by Kulachi Hansraj Model School for their spectacular performance. The event culminated with the felicitation of the winners by the revered Principal Mr LV Sehgal along with the Headmistress Ms Nita Nijhara and the jury members.
CBSE Skill Expo 2023
CBSE organised CBSE Skill Expo 2023 on 19-20 Sept. at Pusa Institute . It was part of National Summit on ‘Facilitating School to Work Transition’. All schools affiliated with CBSE located in India and abroad were invited to submit projects . We are delighted to share that two projects submitted by Middle Department were selected for the showcase in the Expo . The projects selected were on gaming and animation.

SPIC MACAY
Bal Bharati Public School, GRH Marg organised SPIC MACAY Workshop from 21 August to 25 August 2023 in the school auditorium. The sessions were conducted by eminent personalities doing notable work in diverse fields of arts and culture. The students were enriched with their wisdom and pragmatism. Their presence was appreciated by all the stakeholders of the institution.
Annual Art Exhibition
BBPS GRH Marg held its annual art exhibition on 5th August 2023 in school auditorium. Students of all departments – primary, middle and senior showcased their collective effort. Many parents especially came to see the artworks. There was also a wishing tree installation that became the center of attention and was appreciated by all.
Annual Play 2023
The Annual Play, ‘THE TRAGIC HISTORY OF DOCTOR FAUSTUS’ was organised by the Dramatics Club of Bal Bharati Public School, GR Campus on August 19, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the School Auditorium. The play written by the father of English tragedy, Christopher Marlowe, as far back as the sixteenth century, has hailed as one of the greatest tragedies of the Elizabethan Age. The play was shown with visual effects in the background, grand display of lights and captivating sound effects. The play had a moral that made the entire audience in awe of the dramatists on stage and they could not help but stand up and applaud for their commendable efforts and impeccable performance.
Cyber Safety Workshop For Parents
In continuation of our endeavors towards strengthening the partnership between school and parents, the Middle Department organised a crucial workshop on cyber safety on 24 July 2023, an issue of utmost importance in today’s digital age. Dr. Gaurav Gupta , Additional Director with Ministry Of Electronics & Information Technology and a cyber and forensic expert had kindly conceded to be the resource person for this comprehensive workshop aiming at addressing the challenges and concerns faced by parents in ensuring the well- being and security of their children in the digital realm. The workshop was attended by around 35 parents and our PTA and Alumni members. Specific questions of a few parents were also satisfactorily addressed by Dr. Gupta. The workshop culminated with a formal vote of thanks.
Summer Camp 2023
Summer Camp was organised by Bal Bharati Public School from May 22, 2023, to June 09, 2023, to lay the foundation for distinguished opportunities of psychological, physiological, socio-emotional and academic development.
There have been 11 spectacular activities namely English Conversation, Art and Craft, Dance, Chess, Football, Basketball, Badminton, Physical Fitness and Athletics, Yoga and Meditation, Instrumental Music and Skating for the students of classes I to X.
English Conversation classes equipped and captured the attention of the young seekers with hours of discussions, debates, role play through movie screening, vocabulary games, writing tasks followed by the creative activities designed in Art and Craft for the learners through easy-on-the-environment materials like coloured papers, straws and paper cups along with new art-related stationery items and created windmills, Christmas trees and more. Dance came out to be a popular choice as students expressed themselves through gestures and movements to help channelise the overflow of energies in a constructive manner. The Game of Chess equipped children with different methodologies like Opening Theory, rules, and the Endgame Theory.
Students from all grades joined the trainers and benefitted the most while grasping different tips and tricks through practice and hands-on learning experience in Badminton. They were also taken away by the miraculous activities and fitness-related exercises in Physical Fitness and Athletics that one whole hour seemed less for them to play, run, hop or jog amidst the bright sunny days. While team sports are high-impact activities, Yoga and Meditation help individuals have the mind-body connection. Students were guided to achieve multitudinous asanas, talked about their importance along with improvement in form and posture along with dhyana or meditation for 15 long minutes.
Skating too became a popular sport as the learners were trained by educating them with the foundations of skating, like the right way to wear skates, how one needs to strike balance in case of instability and how to glide through difficult paths. Lastly, those learners who wanted to dive into the rhythmic world of music chose Instrumental Music wherein various instruments like Keyboard, Congo, Guitar were being taught. There were students from classes I, II and III and they were guided from scratch like the right position to hold a particular instrument to the different notes and ultimately, some harmonious beats.
The Summer Camp for the session 2023-24 culminated with loads of fun activities, distribution of sweets and reminiscing the three-week long sojourn overflowing with determination, self-worth and confidence.
