SPORTS DAY 24.02.2020
The much awaited Sports day was held on 24.02.2020 with great zeal, excitement and colourful atmosphere. The field and the tracks were decorated beautifully.
The students entered into the spirit of occasion in a grand way. The programme began with a rhythmic performance by the cheer leaders.
There was a massive participation of 140 boys and 140 girls from both Pre School & Pre Primary. 16 colourful interesting races were planned for the tiny tots.
One of the attraction of the event was the inclusion of children with special needs. The sporting spirit was apparent and all the children enjoyed participating in the races. Medals and certificates were awarded to the winners.
EXPERIMENT DAY 19.02.2020
Air is essential for humans to breathe and so is for a lot of other animals and plants. To explain the importance and the properties of air to our young ones, various experiments on air were conducted by the children of Pre- School , Pre-Primary with the help of their class teachers on 19.02.2020. Children were also sensitized towards keeping our air clean and pure. They were also explained various measures that can be taken to reduce air pollution.
SHOW & TELL COMPETITION 17.02.2020
Show and Tell competition for Pre-school classes was held on 17.02.2020. There was maximum participation of students from each class. The students shared their thoughts and feelings about their favourite object showed it to their classmates. They spoke 8 to 10 lines very enthusiastically and it was a pleasure listening to the little ones describing their favourite object why is it special to them.
PLANTS- OUR LIFELINE 12.02.2020
A fun activity- “Plants- Our Lifeline” - Germination of seeds, was organized for Pre School and Pre Primary children on 12.2.2020 to make the children aware of the growth of a seed. The main aim of the activity was to make children acquainted with the importance of a plant in our life. The activity also imparted moral values in them as they promised to protect the trees to save the environment.
CREATIVE EXPRESSION- 07.02.2020
To foster children's imagination through art and encourage free form of self expression in our students, Creative Expression Competition was held for pre-primary students. The children enjoyed expressing their ideas on one of the topics of their choice i.e. Garden/ Water world/Animal World. All the students participated enthusiastically.
Republic Day
The 71 st Republic day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur on 23.01.2020 by the Pre- School and Pre- Primary children. The whole atmosphere was filled with the feeling of love and respect for the nation. To inculcate the sense of gratitude and patriotism a cultural extravaganza was presented with great zest and zeal. The cultural items included patriotic poem dances, skit and speeches despite weather being inclement. The melodious music and graceful movements of the dancers made the August gathering spellbound.
Role Play Activity- 21.01.2020
Incorporating role-play into the classroom adds variety, a change of pace, opportunities for a lot of language production, especially speaking, and also a lot of fun. In order to enhance the speaking skills of our children with added fun, a Role Play Activity was organised for Pre-school on 21.01.2020. The tiny tots came dressed up as their favourite community helper like doctor, baker, washerman, cobbler, teacher etc.and spoke 2-3 lines about their character and the tools used by the same.
The activity not only boosted confidence amongst the children but also gave them first hand experience about the lives of various people who help us in our day to day life.
MONSOON FUN (28.08.2019)
Outdoor play is a great way for encouraging children’s creativity and developing social skills. A Sports Activity “Monsoon Fun” was organised on 28.08.19 for the students of Pre School children.
Five tracks were made for the activity and an umbrella was kept on the initial point and an artificial puddle was created at the middle point of each track. For the activity, children had to pick up the umbrella, run and jump the puddle to reach the finishing point. The activity helped in enhancing gross and fine motor skills and improved eye hand coordination. Children participated in the activity enthusiastically and enjoyed it.
MY COUNTRY, MY PRIDE (14.08.19)
“I love my country not only because it is great, but because it is my own”.
This year’s Independence Day was celebrated with great pride and zest. All the students of Pre-School & Pre Primary participated in the celebrations on 14 th Aug’19 by wearing tri-colour accessories with a white costume. It inculcated the feeling of patriotism and honesty amongst our tiny tots.
Students participated in a variety of craft activities to encourage their creativity, aesthetic sense and to spread happiness on this occasion. It made our heart filled with pride to have seen colors of Independence spread across the department. Patriotic songs and Rhymes were also part of the celebration.
RING THE WATER ANIMAL
In order to indulge children in some fun activity outside the walls of a classroom in this rainy season a fun SPORTS ACTIVITY “Ring The Water Animal was planned for the children of Pre Primary classes.
One class performed at a time. The children lined up and came one by one. They ran, hopped like a frog on the ladder kept there at a distance. After which they ran again and picked up a ring kept near the water area created artificially with some water animals. The children ringed the water animal and ran to the finishing point.
The activity was enjoyed thoroughly.
WE ARE FRIENDS (Wrist Band Making) (02.08.2019)
An activity “We are Friends” was organized for the students of both Pre- School and Pre- Primary on 02.08.19 wherein the children made beautiful wrist bands, using their creativity, to thank their friends for their wonderful presence in their life.
They tied the bands on each other’s wrists and sang a melodious song with rhythm and harmony.
MOTHER’S DAY (CARD MAKING)
“I love my Mom” was the common message sent out by the children of both Pre School & Pre Primary on the occasion of mother’s day celebrated on 10.05.19. They expressed their gratitude through cards and crafts made in school with the help and guidance of their Class Teachers.
OUR LITTLE CHEFS 08.05.19
The activity was held on 08.05.2019 wherein the children made and relished simple delicacies like lemonade, roohafza, fruit chaat, popcorn chaat, peanut chaat, etc. They enjoyed the activity as it was a new experience for them and they also learnt that food should not be wasted.
Moreover various properties of water were also shown to them through this activity.
SPORTS ACTIVITY- FOLLOW THE FOOTPRINTS 07.05.19
The sports activity “Follow the footprints” for Pre Primary children was held on 07.05.2019. It was an amazing activity which aimed at enhancing the fine and gross muscles of the child. The children followed a path by jumping on the footprints printed on a mat passed through various obstacles kept on their way, to finish the activity.
SPORTS ACTIVITY- FUN WITH WATER 03.05.19
The Sports Activity for Pre School children was held on 03.05.2019. It was a colourful and an interesting activity wherein the children were sensitized towards the importance of saving water.
WORLD OF PUPPETS-30.04.2019 & 02.05.19
A Puppet Show was organized for Pre School & Pre- Primary children. Two stories were presented –“ The Ant & the Grasshopper”, and “Mickey Minnie ki dosti”. Both the stories were thoroughly enjoyed by the children.
These stories also aimed at enhancing the various domains of language.
FAMILY COLLAGE MAKING , MY FAVORITE FAMILY MEMBER- 24.04.2019
Family is a bond, a long lasting relationship that holds its members together with the thread of love. To enhance this bond, a family collage making activity was organized for Pre School and Pre Primary students on 24.04.2019. Pre- School children made family tree in their scrap books whereas Pre- Primary children spoke lines on their favourite family member.
EARTH DAY – 22.04.2019
To sensitize the children towards their role in protecting our Mother Earth, the activity of celebrating Earth Day was carried out on 22.04.2019.
Educational and fun filled activities were organized to appreciate the
uniqueness of Mother Earth.
