Visit to Gaushaala
To sensitize the students, a visit to Gaushaala located at Rajinder Nagar was organised under the aegis of Aao Haath Barhayein Club on 30.01.20.
The visit also aimed at developing a responsible young generation of students deeply committed to our traditional values of sharing and caring.
The students saw a variety of cows and fed them with raw vegetables which they brought from home. The children were very excited and happy to see a day-old calf at the Gaushaala. The caretaker of the cows also showed them the process of Milking. The visit was a new and enthralling experience for all.
Interactive Session on Braille - 27.11.19
Under the aegis of Aao Haath Barhayein Club, an interactive session – ‘Exploring Braille’ was organised for the students in collaboration with The Blind Relief Organisation, Lodhi Road, New Delhi on 27.11.19. The session was conducted by Mr. Sudhanshu, a Braille instructor at The Blind School, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.
The meaning and importance of Braille, a tactile reading and writing system used by blind and visually impaired people was discussed and explained in the session.
The students were shown the Hindi alphabet Braille slate and its usage was also displayed by Mr. Sudhanshu.
An auditory cricket ball & football used by the blind children along with hand-made diyas, candles and paper bag made by them were also shown to the students. The activity concluded with a Question & Answer Session in which Mr. Sudhanshu addressed the students’ queries related to the day-to-day life of the visually impaired.
The workshop was very informative and made the students aware how the blind people overcome their disability and live a normal life like us.
In the follow up activity organised on 28.11.19 the students were shown videos on how the blind people use Braille for reading and writing. They were also given a hands-on experience and made to feel a book printed in Braille.
Visit to Arya Kanya Gurukul, Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi
We at Bal Bharati firmly believe that it is important to provide our students ample opportunities to nurture values like sharing & caring in them and thus develop a responsible young generation of tomorrow.
A visit to Arya Kanya Gurukul was organised for the students in 21.10.19. The Gurukul , located in Rajinder Nagar provides basic facilities and education to the less priviledged girls aged 7 to 17 years.
Visit to Tribal Museum -Bharatiya Adim Jati Sevak Sangh
A visit to Tribal Museum -Bharatiya Adim Jati Sevak Sangh was organised for the students on 26.9.19. The visit was aimed at exposing them to the Indian tribal life and culture. It enlightened them about the various tribes of India such as Toda of Tamil Nadu, Dhodia of Maharashtra, Bhil of Rajasthan, Bondo of Orrisa etc. The museum which houses a collection of garments from various tribes, masks, jewellery, indigenous herbs, arms, hunting gear, bamboo articles along with musical instruments like Nagaras, Flutes and Dholak gave a glimpse of the life of the tribes to the students. Various traditional murals depicting important life events like festivals, acts of animal sacrifice, marriages and polling elections were also showcased in the museum. The visit was an enriching experience for both the students and teachers.
Visit to an Old Age Home- Arya Mahila Ashram
All the members praised and appreciated the efforts of the students and blessed them.
Helping Hand - Visit to Gali Paathshala
सैनिक तुझे सलाम (Sainik Tujhe Salaam)
To sensitize our students and foster a feeling of community service in them, Activity - सैनिक तुझे सलाम was organised on 25.4.19 under the aegis of Aao Haath Barhayein Club.
The role of the Army, Navy and Air Force in making our country safe and secure was highlighted through an interactive session. This was followed by a craft activity. The students made beautiful motivational cards for the soldiers with a message expressing their love and gratitude for them. The cards saluted their dedication and commitment towards the country.
