EDUCATIONAL BRILLIANCE AWARD

The Tribute to Excellence in Teaching Award was presented to Mr. Naresh Kumar, PGT Economics, by Mr. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Cabinet Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Uttar Pradesh, at Christ University, in association with Dainik Jagran.

 Ms. Sabina Chowdhary, TGT German, conducted a German Workshop for Teachers on 3 August 2024 as part of the Goethe Institut Deutschlehrer Tag (DLT). The topic of the Workshop was - AI Tools for Projects in Classroom. The workshop was attended by 35 teachers from various schools in Delhi.

AUDIO RECORDING FOR NCERT MATHEMATICS TEXTBOOK 

Ms. Nidhi Bajaj, TGT Mathematics has been selected to record the audio version of Chapter 1 of the NCERT Mathematics textbook at CIET Studio. This initiative by CIET, NCERT aims to support students who lack access to physical textbooks and assist visually impaired learners who do not have Braille resources.


 

 

 

 

 


 

PROGRESSION FACULTY 

Dr. Yuvraj Bhattarai,TGT Sanskrit was invited as a Resource Person for the Content Development Programme in Sanskrit at the State Council of Educational Research and  Training (SCERT), Delhi. He delivered an engaging lecture on "Content Development for Promoting Interest in Sanskrit" to a gathering of students and educators. His insightful presentation highlighted innovative strategies for developing engaging content to foster a love for Sanskrit among students. Dr. Yuvraj Bhattarai, TGT Sanskrit participated in the prestigious All-India Poets' Conference organized by Delhi Sanskrit Academy at Hindi Bhawan. His mesmerizing recitation of Sanskrit verses, imbued with patriotism and devotion, resonated deeply with the audience capturing the essence of India's rich cultural legacy and the values of unity and freedom. Dr. Bhattarai's contribution to this noble endeavor was widely appreciated by scholars and literary enthusiasts.

SANSKRIT TEACHERS' FELICITATION CEREMONY

On the occasion of establishment of Sanskrit Shikshak Sangh Delhi, Sanskrit Teachers Felicitation ceremony was organised on 8 September 2024 by Sanskrit Shikshak Sangh at Arya Samaj Mandir Tagore Garden. Dr Jyotsana Shrivastva and Dr Virender Kumar Sharma from the Middle Department were felicitated on this occasion for their commendable efforts in the field of Sanskrit. The Teachers Felicitation Ceremony was a heartwarming event dedicated to honoring the dedication and contributions of educators.

KAVYA PATH CEREMONY

A Kavya Path Ceremony for school teachers was organized by FullMarks and Pratham bhasha Prasar manch on 7 September 2024 at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre 15 Janpath, New Delhi. Dr Jyotsana Srivastava and Dr VIrender Kumar Sharma from Middle department participated in this event and Recited their Poems in Hindi and Sanskrit Languages respectively. The event was graced by Chief Guest Mr Shambhu Shikhar and Mr Praveen Shukla. The Kavya Path Ceremony aimed to promote literature and poetry by providing a platform for poets (Teachers) both emerging and established to share their work. It is a celebration of creativity, emotion, and thought expressed through words. The ceremony typically featured various forms of poetry, from classical to modern, and often includes recitations in multiple languages, reflecting the rich diversity of the participants.

Ms Mansi, TGT Science, completed a 72-hour training program by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE. In collaboration with CBSE and EMRS, it aims to foster innovation among educators. The program covered modules on problem-solving, idea generation, entrepreneurship, intellectual property rights, business aspects, and advocacy. 

 

STATE TEACHERS' AWARD 2024

The Directorate of Education, Delhi Government, organized a grand State Award Ceremony on Teachers’ Day, 5th September 2024, at Thyagaraj Stadium to celebrate educators who have made outstanding contributions to the field of education. Among the honorees was Ms. Reetu Dawar, Headmistress at Bal Bharati Public School, Ganga Ram Hospital Marg, recognized for her exceptional commitment to advancing student learning and streamlining school operations. CERTIFIED AS ADOBE CREATIVE EDUCATOR 

The National Education Policy 2020 outlines the vision for India’s new education system where creativity is placed among the top skills in demand. With this vision in mind, six sessions (Feb.'24-Mar.'24)were conducted by CBSE in collaboration with team Adobe to inform attendees about the features and varied palette of tools of Adobe Express which are web based user friendly platforms powered by generative AI. Each session was followed by submission of assigned activity by the attendees . Ms. Bhawna Garg proudly earned her certificate of course completion with rightful completion and submission of all assigned activities which were reviewed by Adobe. She also received a badge from Adobe as a certified Level 1 Creative Educator on 09 July 2024.

PROGRESSIVE FACULTY

Ms. Anjali Kaushik, Counsellor, delivered a talk on 21st -century Conventional and Unconventional skills live on UGC, CEC television. She provided practical guidance on goal-setting, resilience and maintaining a positive mindset on CEC Educational Channel. She also delivered a captivating talk on Careers in Biology live on UGC CEC television. She highlighted lesser-known career paths beyond medicine. Additionally, she conducted two webinars on the theme "Principles of Success for the 21st Century" for the students of Psychology from Jesus Mary College, DU and St. Joseph College, Meerut.

FRENCH TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAMME

Ms. Aarti Singhal, TGT French, participated in a Teachers Training Programme titled "Enseigner le FLE par les médias," organized by the French Institute in India (Embassy of France) at Lycée Français de Delhi.

FACULTY  LEADERSHIP  DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

Our progressive faculty exemplified its brilliance once again. A talented team of teachers from the school emerged as winners in the Dance Presentation Session held on the culmination day of the Faculty Leadership Development Program 2023. It was organized for three days from 23 to 25 May 2023 at BBPS, Pitampura.

 

WORKSHOP IN GERMAN

Ms. Sabina Choudhary, TGT German conducted a workshop for German Teachers on 29 July 2023. The topic for the workshop was- Deutsch schnell und einfach. The workshop was attended by 30 teachers from various schools. She conducted a German Workshop for German learning students on 7 October 2023 in Namastey Deutschland at Thyagraj Stadium. The workshop was based on the theme of the event: Sport und Kultu-Relay Race with a Twist.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

Ms. Sabina Chowdhary (TGT German) got selected for a Scholarship Programme held in Germany. The Teachers’ Training included didactic methodology to be used in classrooms for holistic learning. Ms Sabina attended the fifteen-day workshop along with the participants from countries like Mali, USA, Estonia, France etc. The workshop included projects and presentations on unique teaching methodologies used by teachers in their respective schools.

PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE AWARD 

Ms. Richa Gakhar (PGT Commerce) and Ms. Paran Khurana (PGT Accountancy) received the coveted ‘Professional Excellence Award’ from the Commerce Teachers’ Foundation. They are honoured for the outstanding performance of their students in CBSE Examination 2023.

SCHOOL ACADEMIC COORDINATOR

Ms. Richa Gakhar (PGT, Commerce) has been given additional responsibility as 'Academic Coordinator'. She will formulate the policies for Improvement of Academic performance across all classes, especially Class X and XII. She will ensure faculty wise coordination among all departments for execution of improvement strategies, teacher training programmes, implementation of CES initiatives and inclusive programmes for CWSN students.

ART GWANGJU 23

Ms Suchismita Sahoo (PGT ART) attended the Opening ceremony of 'Art Gwangju 23' - Kim Dae Jung Convention hosted by Gwangju Municipal Association of Korea Arts (President Park Gwanggu). As an Indian Contemporary Photorealistic Artist, she represented India and curated an art exhibition.

NATIONAL TEACHERS' OLYMPIAD

Sixteen teachers from the school cleared the National Teachers’ Olympiad, an annual flagship event of Saamarthya Teachers Training Academy of Research. It is a one-of-its kind Olympiad that tests teachers’ competence and acumen for teaching.

The Child Education Society, the apex body of Bal Bharati Public Schools organised the CES Teachers Awards on 19 December 2023 to honour the persistence, determination and skillfulness of exemplary teachers who go beyond the usual and delve deep into the realm of Pedagogy and Innovation.
The awards were bestowed upon teachers in the category of ‘Award of Excellence in the field of Pedagogy’ ; ‘Award of Appreciation in the field of Pedagogy’ and the ‘Award of Excellence in the field of Upskilling’. Mr. Ravinder Singh Dahiya (TGT Physical Ed.) won the First position in High Jump and Triple Jump events in the Delhi State Master Athletics Championships 2023-24. He has been selected to represent Delhi State at the upcoming 44th National Masters Athletics Championships in Pune.

Ms. Kavita Bhatia, TGT Social Science, was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation by Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs for organizing the Youth Parliament Session (Kishore Sabha) 3rd Edition, in the school. The theme of the event was ‘Be the Voice of New India, Find Solutions, Contribute to Policy’.

STATE TEACHER AWARD 

The Directorate of Education, under the aegis of Delhi Government, organised STATE AWARD CEREMONY on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, on 5 September 2023 at Thyagaraj Stadium, to honour the teachers who have provided exemplary contribution in the field of education. Ms Nita Nijhara, Headmistress and PGT English at Bal Bharati Public School, Ganga Ram Hospital Marg, made a mark for herself by receiving the State Award for her encouraging results among her students and praiseworthy endeavours in handling the administrative operations of the school. The school, staff and students extend their wishes on her astounding feat.

 

LEAD Z TEACHER AWARDS 

Ms. Pushpinder Kaur and Ms. Deepa Ahuja from the Primary Department, Pusa Road Campus were shortlisted among top 100 educators in the Lead Z Teacher Awards by the 1M1B Foundation (One Million for One Billion) in the year 2021. This recognition is a token of appreciation by the foundation for the unwavering dedication and extraordinary commitment shown by the teachers in during the testing times of the pandemic. Ms. Pushpinder Kaur was awarded under the category of ‘The Lockdown Innovator’ and Ms. Deepa Ahuja was awarded under the category of ‘The Social Impactor’. Being among top 100 Teachers, they both received a Gift Card worth Rs 1000 along with a Certificate of Merit and recognition on social media. 

 

 

CENBOSEC

For CBSE’s CENBOSEC (Bi-annual e-magazine), 3 teachers from the Primary department – GR Campus submitted entries. Ms Sumanya Sehgal, Ms Ashima Kukreja, submitted their entries for the topic “Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health”. Their article talked about spreading the message about the need of salubrious psychology amidst the young learners of the various educational institutions. The article also focused on the importance of mental health. Both the aspects in cognisance lead to a holistic development of the child. Ms Shweta Gupta, Physical Education teacher submitted an article titled “Promotion of Healthy Lifestyle” based on the theme Education for Health and Wellness. She emphasized on the significance of a healthy body and sound mind in today’s times. Ms Gupta opined that people who are cautious and aware of their health, enjoy robust health as they indulge in any sort of physical activity which should now become the norm for each individual.

NAYI UDAAN

Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi publishes a quarterly science magazine- “Nayi Udaan” for promoting scientific temperament amongst its readers. For its September 2022 issue, Ms. Sunanda Sharma, Primary department – GR campus, submitted a science fiction story titled- “The Fourth Dimension” on July 21, 2022. The story follows a catastrophic event in the life of a young physicist Dr Arya. An ambitious maneuver while operating a fusion reactor initiated a series of quantum events expelling her into a four-dimensional space. The story revolves around her struggles with her emotions, reasoning and finding a way out.

 

 

AMALGAMATION OF THE TRADITIONAL AND THE MODERN

Ms. Monisha Malik Sabharwal’s entry ‘Amalgamation of the Traditional and the Modern – Stories and Toys, Perfect Teaching Tools!’ has been selected for SCERT’s handbook for DIET, Pitampura, a constituent of SCERT, Delhi ‘Innovative and Good Teaching Practices for Elementary Level’. Ms Malik’s incorporated stories and self-made toys in her lessons integrating various subjects across classes IV and V.

Ms Monisha Malik Sabharwal submitted her entry for Elementary Teacher’s Handbook on ‘Innovative Ideas and Good Teaching Practices in School Education’ being developed by DIET, Pitampura, a constituent unit of SCERT Delhi. She has based her submission titled Amalgamation of the Traditional and the Modern-Storytelling and Toys, the perfect tool on Storytelling and usage of toys/puppets as teaching aids for classroom teaching. A conscious effort was made by her to incorporate play-based learning and the age-old story-telling technique into her lessons. The inclusion of games and toys along with embracing a play-based curriculum and storytelling had very positive results.

GLOBAL TEACHER AWARD 2022

Ms Renu Malhotra and Ms Rachna Chaudhary attended the Global Education Fest 2022 organised on 6.11.22 at Grand Hyatt Gurgaon, Ireo City, Golf Course Extension Road, Gurugram. They were felicitated for their exemplary contribution to the field of Education and were awarded a trophy, framed Certificate/Plaque, Winner's Badge and  Medal. 

The ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by an interactive session with the other awardees. Next there was a panel discussion on the topic – Delivering Serious Education & Achieving a Happy Classroom Together. The eminent panelist, educators from different countries across the globe shared their views on inclusive education and happy classrooms.

CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP

Ms Soma Ganguly, TGT Fine Arts, successfully completed a Capacity Building Workshop on Origami. She received a Certificate of Participation for showing active engagement in the subject.

The workshop was organised from 20-22nd October 2022 by Millennium India Education Foundation, supported by NCSTC Div, Department of Science and Technology, Govt of India.

 

 

BE INTERNET AWESOME

In accordance with the circular issued by CBSE, the school initiated the programme ‘Be Internet Awesome’ for teachers wherein they attended webinars, trained students and documented their experience in sync with the learning outcomes. Teachers from Middle Department  completed the course within the stipulated time and received a certificate of appreciation and was donned with the title of BE INTERNET AWESOME AMBASSADOR. DIGITAL LEARNING AND MANAGEMENT

Ms Bhawna Garg, TGT Computers, facilitated a CBSE workshop as a resource person on 6 September 2022, acquainting the teachers about the importance of some digital tools helpful in enhancing the different domains of teaching namely, learning ,collaboration and assessment. The session was attended by approximately 370 enthusiastic and responsive teachers.  

युवाकवि युवराज भट्टराई द्वारा लिखित एक नवीन शिशुगीतसंकलन -'तनीयसी’

बाल साहित्य के अन्तर्गत वह शिक्षाप्रद साहित्य आता है, जिसका लेखन बच्चों के मानसिक स्तर को ध्यान में रखकर किया गया हो | बाल साहित्य में रोचक शिक्षाप्रद बाल कहानियाँ, बालगीत व कविताएँ प्रमुख हैं |
बाल साहित्य लेखन की परम्परा को आगे बढ़ाने का कार्य किया है साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार से सम्मानित दिल्ली निवासी युवाकवि युवराज भट्टराई ने ‘तनीयसी’ युवराज जी के द्वारा लिखित एक नवीन शिशुगीतसंकलन है । इस काव्य संग्रह में कुल 16 सचित्र बाल कविताएँ हैं । ‘द्विजराज:’ कविता के माध्यम से कवि संदेश देता है कि मनुष्य को अपना स्वभाव चन्‍द्रमा की तरह शीलत औए कोमल रखना चाहिए । इसी प्रकार ‘सुरभि:’ कविता में गाय, शफरी कविता में मछली, की स्वाभाविक कियाओं का वर्णन है। युवराई भट्टराई की ‘सुत! जागृहि रे’ कविता हिन्‍दी के सुप्रसिद्ध कवि सोहनलाल द्विवेदी की कविता ‘उठो लाल अब आँखे खोलो/पानी लाई हूँ मुँह धो लो ।’ की याद दिला देती है । इसी प्रकार ‘तरु:’ कविता ‘वृक्ष कबहुँ न फल भखै नदी न संचय नीर’ का स्मरण करा देती है ।

‘तनीयसी’ कविता युवराज ने अपनी बेटी (तनीयसी) की बाल सुलभ चेष्टाओं को देखकर लिखी है । ‘नगरी’ कविता में कवि ने महानगरों की वर्तमान स्थिति का चित्रण किया है । अपनी प्रत्येक कविता में कवि ने बालकों के साथ-ही-साथ बड़ो को भी नैतिकता का संदेश देने का प्रयास किया है । ध्यानास्पद है कि डॉ.टेकचन्‍द्र मीणा के निर्देशन में दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय की शोधच्छात्रा ‘हेमलता रानी’ ने अपने पीएचडी में बालसाहित्य की रचनाओं के अन्‍तर्गत ‘तनीयसी’ काव्य को भी शामिल किया है । गेय छ्न्दों में निबद्ध यह काव्य पाठक को शुरू से अन्त तक बाँधे रखने की सामर्थ्य रखता है । युवकवि युवराज भट्टराई की लिखी इस काव्यकृति में बाल मनोविज्ञान से सम्बन्धित कविताओं का संकलन किया गया है। भारतीय समाज में ही नहीं अपितु विश्व के समस्त समाजों के बच्चे ही भविष्य के कर्णधार होते हैं। अत: उनके कोमल मानस में नैतिक मूल्यों के बोध कराने वाले ये कविताएं अवश्य ही बाल छात्रों के लिए उपकारी होंगे।

 

Young Warrior Movement 

Ms. Mansi, TGT Science, completed five tasks as a part of ‘Young Warrior Movement’ activated by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, CBSE, YuWaah (Generation Unlimited India) and UNICEF India, in the month of July 2021. She received a Certificate of Appreciation for the same.


Resource Person For Training Observers For NAS

Ms. Shailja Nagpal, PGT Accountancy was appointed  as a resource person by the District Level Coordinator, NAS- Central Delhi to conduct an online Capacity Building Program on “Training Observers for conducting NAS'' on 25 October 2021. The programme was attended by 143 observers. 

The training sessions were organized to train observers about the set of tasks one has to perform for NAS survey. All the capacity building documents prepared by CBSE and NAS Cell were shared with the Observers for better understanding of the conduct of the survey. At the end of the training program, a Q&A session was held for clarity of any doubts of the observers.

The session was a huge success with a very positive and encouraging feedback from all the participants.


National Achievement Survey-2021

National Achievement Survey-2021, held on 12th November 2021 was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) as Assessment Administrator for Grade 3, 5, 8 and 10 students of State Govt. schools, Govt. Aided schools, Private Unaided recognized schools and Central Government schools. Mr.  L.V. Sehgal was appointed as Single Point of Contact (POC) by the NAS Administration Agency (CBSE). Ms. Shailja Nagpal, PGT Accountancy  was entrusted with the responsibility of coordinating for the same. Subsequently, Mrs Nagpal appointed observers of Central Delhi sample schools and organized a workshop in collaboration with CBSE- NAS Cell on 11th November 2012 for training the Observers to conduct the survey on 12th November 2021. The survey was conducted smoothly in 117 schools of Central Delhi.

CBSE Workshop on Entrepreneurship

Ms. Shailja Nagpal PGT (Accountancy) attended the six days training program for teachers organized by CBSE in association with Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad from 20th -25th September 2021. The purpose of the training was to make teachers capable of sensitizing  students towards  learning and understanding the basic ideas and concepts of Entrepreneurship.

Appointment as Cognitive Coder for PISA FT-2021

CBSE appointed Ms.Pooja Seth (PGT Chemistry ) and Ms. Satinder Kaur (TGT, Science) as a cognitive coder (examiner) for the domain Science- PISA FT-2021(Programme for International Student Assessment 2021,a prestigious and internationally monitored project of the government of India. The selection was based on the vast experience and record of outstanding performance in assessment-related assignments.


Acclaim for the Impressionable Art Work

Ms Satwinder Kaur, art teacher, primary department, GR campus continues to excel in her artistic pursuits. She has earned the honour of being selected for National Awardees Art Camp by Lalit Kala Academy from 15 to 21 Aug. which is being organized to celebrate Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. She has received an Honorarium of 50,000 Rupees from the camp. Her brilliant Artworks have been selected for RAVI JAIN MEMORIAL FOUNDATION AWARDS. The show started from 29 Sep 21 at Dhoomimal art gallery, Connaught Place, New Delhi. Another feather in her cap - her Artwork titled Contemplation II woodcut has been shortlisted for CIMA AWARDS 2022 by CIMA Art Gallery, Kolkata.

Learning Online 

Ms. Sugeet Malhotra, computer teacher, Primary Department, GR campus completed ‘Software Defined Networking with VMware NSX’course, conducted by Udemy – an online learning platform. NSX is VMware’s networking platform that allows network and services to be deployed programmatically. She also did Google Ads Search certification, from Skillshop (Google training platform).

The prestigious award identifies, celebrates, facilitates and recognizes exceptional teachers who have made an outstanding contribution to their profession, demonstrated excellence in teaching, shown outstanding contribution to learners’ development and served the community through teaching beyond the formal classrooms and curriculum on a global scale. The first of a kind education award initiated by AKS Education Awards identifies excellent educators for their effectiveness and eminence from all communities and regions of the world to highlight their contribution in making a better society through their work.

Mentoring for Teacher Professional Development

Ms Sapna Bahl, Chief Coordinator, primary department -GR campus successfully completed an online course – Mentoring for Teacher Professional Development scoring A+ grade with 87% marks. A six week course was offered by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, India’s premier University for applied social science research and education. The course involved webinars, modules (with assignments), peer discussion through situation-based questions, submission of projects based on case studies. The course is meant for experienced teachers, educators and academic leaders having access to at least mentor 3-5 teachers. The aim of the programme is to help attendees become effective pedagogic leaders and peer mentors.

Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE):

The Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Expert program is a premier program created to recognize global educator visionaries. This programme is for self-driven educators who are passionate about teaching and learning, who inspire students with creative thinking, and work in a truly collaborative spirit to share their learning with the world. MIE Experts share their learning with colleagues and other educators. Resourceful and entrepreneurial, they relish the role of change agent, and work to achieve excellence in education using Microsoft technologies coupled with their innovative teaching practices. 9 teachers from Primary-GR have received Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE) certificate for the year 2021-22. An online course, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning was completed by Ms. Sugeet Malhotra. The course is designed to address the relationship between AI, Machine Learning and Deep Learning. The AI-ML course is a self-learning module developed by Cognitel under STL’s TechWise Program of understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.​

 

Nayi Udaan- Innovative Ideas

Ms Mamta Madan(Asstt.Tr) presented her innovative ideas through the entry entitled ‘Twisted Sudoku’ under the category ‘Brain Mapping’ in Nayi Udaan. The quarterly science magazine, launched by the Ministry of Education of Delhi publishes scholarly ideas/articles by students, teachers, and other stakeholders. It is a platform which allows all stakeholders to share their work, innovations, research, and ideas.

An Accomplished Writer Par Excellence 

Ms Sukriti Sehgal (TGT English) is a proud recipient of two certificates of publication for her short poem ‘What Makes Our Nation Strong?’ and a short story ‘The Whistling Willows’ as a part of two anthologies, ‘Poets of India’ and ‘Yellow Woods’ published by ‘The Write Order’.

Integrating Technology with Mathematics & Other Subjects 

Ms Nidhi Bajaj (TGT, Mathematics) attended a training programme from 15 to 19 November 2021 on ‘Hybrid Learning’ organised by CBSE in collaboration with Microsoft Education & Tech Avant- Garde, Global training partner of Microsoft. The objective of the programme was to help teachers in making informed decisions for conducting classes in dual mode- physical & virtual.

Google Certified Educator &  Resource Person for COE,CBSE for conducting teacher training workshops

Ms. Bhawna Garg (TGT Computers) has been actively involved in conducting workshops for teachers under the aegis of COE (Delhi East) & COE Dehradun. She recently  facilitated three  sessions on ‘Digital Libraries’ helping teachers pool their resources with their students as a single file/link. ​She added another feather to her cap by securing the title of a Certified Google Educator. This achievement will accelerate her technical prowess in the classroom and upgrade her skills in using G Suite tools.

The French Institute in India, Embassy of France awarded four teachers from North India both at school and university levels. Ms Aarti Singhal, TGT French, was awarded the ‘Exceptional French Language Teachers Award in the North Zone 2021’ for her extraordinary efforts and proactive contributions in promotion of the language at all levels.She was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Director, Mr. Emmanuel Lebrun, French Institute in India for 22 years of meritorious endeavours.

A 12-day NCC Caretaker Orientation Training Programme was conducted from 22 March to 2 April 2021 by 7 Delhi Girls Battalion at Kirti Nagar, New Delhi, under the aegis of the NCC GP HQ Rohini. Indo German Teachers’ Association along with Goethe Institut, conducted a competition: Indiens Beste Deutschlehrerin (Best German Teacher) for German Teachers. Ms. Sabina Chowdhary won the First Prize in the category: ‘Best Teacher in a PASCH School’.​

Ms.Reetu Dawar, Road Safety Club Coordinator of our school, gave a presentation highlighting the various activities conducted by the school  in the past three years to spread awareness on the issue of road safety and sensitise the students and parents. The school was the Centre for evaluation of JEE ARCH 2017 answer sheets from 9 to 14 May 2017. Under the guidance of Chief Nodal officer, Mr L V Sehgal; and Supervisor, Ms Meena Malhotra, the competent school staff was involved in coordination of answer sheets and posting of award lists for the same.

Excellence  In Education Award 2016

Head Mistress, Ms Meena Malhotra was bestowed Excellence in Education Award 2016 by Lions Club of Delhi in an impressive ceremony held at Russian Cultural Centre, ND on 28 September 2016. The Award was in recognition of her outstanding contributions, unflinching loyalty, perseverance, commitment & dedication to the cause of Education.

Under the guidance of Principal, Mr L V Sehgal, Marking Schemes for class X CBSE conducted SA2 Science compartment question papers for Delhi, Outside Delhi, Foreign, Vocational and the Visually Challenged were prepared from 21 July to 26 July 2016. Ms Poonam Sondhi, Ms Anju Marwah and Ms Satinder Kaur (TGT Science) were part of the 20- member All India group constituted by CBSE for this purpose.

Aarti Singhal (TGT French) has been selected to present a research paper by the organizing committee of the 3rdInternational Colloquium of Teachers of French and 36th National Congress of Indian Association of Teachers of French (IATF). She shall be presenting the paper on the topic, “The CEFR in the Indian Context, is it possible?” in the Conference being held on the theme, “Learning French- Choices for tomorrow” at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai from 4 to 6 November 2016.

Paresh Prasad Singh Millenium National Teacher Award 2015-16

The Institute for Environment, Yoga and Social Security awarded Paresh Prasad Singh Millennium National Teacher Award 2015-16 to Ms Nita Nijhara, PGT English, in appreciation of valuable services rendered to the cause of Education. The award was bestowed upon her by Maj Gen. G. D. Bakshi, MLA Ms Bandana Kumari and Supreme Court Lawyer & MLA Mr Madan Lal in a ceremony held at India International Centre on 3 September 2016.

International Teacher Coordinator for an Online Project

Ms. Ruchi Gupta (TGT Computer) has been appointed as the International Teacher coordinator for an online project, Regions 15, as a part of EUmIND.

The project brings 13 reputed schools all over Europe and India on one platform to carry out interactions via video conferencing and other sources on issues of global importance. Ms. Ruchi shall be responsible for ensuring effective communication with the partner schools, setting deadlines and monitoring the progress of the project on a regular basis. Overall, she is to ensure high quality standards of the project.

As an active member of the project, the school plays a major role in handling its day-to-day functioning and providing the students an exposure, at a global level.

Vice principal, Ms Geeta Gangwani in the capacity of British Council school Ambassador (BCSA) attended the All India International School Award (ISA) standardization workshop held at Hotel Lalit, New Delhi on 28 and 29 June 2016. The workshop focused on updation of documents like manual, checklists, PowerPoint presentations etc related to ISA based on the feedback and expertise of BCSAs.

The school was the Centre for evaluation of JEE ARCH 2016 answer sheets from 9 May to 18 May 2016. Under the guidance of Chief Nodal supervisor, Mr L V Sehgal; and Supervisor, Ms Geeta Gangwani, the competent school staff was involved in coordination of answer sheets and posting of award lists for the same.

Ms Aarti Singhal, TGT French, worked as Independent Head Examiner for checking of AISSE 2016 French papers from 14 March to 03 April 2016.

Ms Richa Gakhar, PGT Commerce, worked as Head Examiner for checking of AISSCE 2016 Entrepreneurship papers from 26 April to 06 May 2016.

Ms Ritu Rohatgi, PGT Biology, worked as Head Examiner for checking of AISSE 2016 Science papers from 18 March to 02 April 2016.

Dr. (Mrs.) Jyotsna Srivastava and Mr. Yuvraj Bhattari, TGT Sanskrit, attended a three-day All India Sanskrit Conference- “Tridivasiya Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrit Sammelan” held from 28 to 31 March 2016 at Vigyan Bhavan, Delhi. Ms Jyotsna Srivastava presented a research paper on ‘Upanishads’. Mr. Yuvraj Bhattari presented a research paper on ‘Sanskrit Grammar’. The work of both the teachers was highly appreciated.
