Activity: Health is Wealth
To enlighten the students and to highlight the importance of good health, the Club Activity ‘Health is Wealth’ was conducted on 17.02.2022
The activity provided the children an opportunity to be a brand ambassador of good health. They were apprised of the benefits of leading a healthy life. They were suggested some ways to impart knowledge about nutrition and importance of good physical as well as mental health to their family, friends or domestic help. They were also encouraged to make a healthy fruit or vegetable platter and share it with the needy.
Interactive Session with Children of NGO-Gali Pathshala
To inculcate a feeling of kindness, affection and compassion in children, a virtual interactive session with the children of NGO-Gali Pathshala was conducted on 24.12.21 on MS Teams under the aegis of Aao Haath Barhayein club. The theme of the interaction was ‘Celebrating Chritsmas-Spreading Joys’. The virtual celebration of the festival of joys included singing, dancing and storytelling highlighting the true significance & spirit of the festival. Books and chocolates were distributed to the children of Gali Pathshala as Christmas gifts. The interaction was an enriching experience that taught meaningful life lessons to our young learners.
Activity: Lending a Helping Hand- Donation Drive
To develop a feeling of social responsibility towards society, an activity on ‘Lending a Helping Hand- Donation Drive’ was conducted on 18.11.21. Donation gives a great sense of satisfaction. The activity sensitized the students towards the need and importance of charity. It enabled them to understand how they could help and support the less fortunate people. They were motivated to donate clothes, food, toys, etc to the community helpers and needy people.
Activity: Our Guiding Angels-Our Grandparents
To enable the children to realize their duty towards their grandparents, the activity ‘Our Guiding Angels- Our Grandparents’ was conducted on 21.10.21. The activity headed a way to instill some important and essential moral values in children as they grow. Students spent quality time with their grandparents to show respect and appreciate their unconditional love. They shared pictures & videos of these precious moments which were indeed priceless.
Activity: Love and Compassion
With an aim to apprise the fledgling students about the virtues of compassion and empathy towards animals, the activity ‘Love and Compassion’ was conducted on 23.09.21 To enable them to understand their significant role in the contribution towards the protection of animals, a video was posted on Connected Classrooms Portal. They made special bird and animal feeders & lent a hand towards their responsibility towards the environment, an activity was conducted wherein students created homemade animal feeders.
Activity: Saluting Our Heroes
With an aim to make the children learn the importance of community helpers and appreciate their role in society, an activity was conducted for the students. Through the activity, the children salute our real heroes for their selfless service. They made 'Thank You' cards for them with heartfelt messages to express their love and gratitude towards them.
Activity : First Aid kit
Preparing and maintaining a first aid kit is a great way of teaching kids about safety, as accidents and injuries can occur anywhere. To enable the students to handle unexpected emergencies, an activity on ‘First Aid Kit’ was conducted for the students on 22.07.2. A video with all the details of the activity was shared on the Connected classrooms portal. Students actively took part in the activity and shared their preparedness for any medical emergency by making the First aid kit.
Activity: Earth Day
Earth is our mother planet. It is home to millions of humans and species of plants and animals. To raise awareness about environmental issues such as pollution, greenhouse effect, climatic conditions, and global warming, the activity - ‘Earth Day’ was conducted on 22.04.21. Students were asked to perform some activities to save our mother Earth-like planting saplings of air-purifying plants, making a poster on the theme- ‘Save Earth’, and making a video showcasing how they contribute towards saving our planet Earth.
