Bal Bharati Public School, GRH Marg organized a Curtain Raiser Ceremony on 17 August 2019 in its premises, to commemorate the contributions of the school’s apex body, Child Education Society (CES) to the cause of education for 75 years glorious years. The year, 2019 also marks the 75 th anniversary of Bal Bharati Public School, GRH Marg, the first institution to be set up, under the aegis of CES in 1944. Presently, the CES is a noteworthy conglomerate of 27 BalBharati educational institutions dedicated to excellence in all aspects of education. The momentous Curtain Raiser Ceremony marked the initiation of yearlong activities that endorse the CES’s commitment to provide holistic value-based quality education that creates a positive mind-setand empowers learners to be responsible citizens. The Programme was presided over by the illustrious Mr L R Channa, President. CES; other eminent members of the Board of Management of CES; members of the Managing Committee of the school, Principals of different units of Bal Bharati Institutions pan India; members of the PTA and the Alumni Association; Staff members and students of different units of Bal Bharati Public Schools; and the parent body. It is significant that on the occasion, a large number of superannuated teachers. The programme began on an auspicious note, with a purifying havan ceremony, to express gratitude and invoke the blessings of the divine. This was followed by a rich mosaic of cultural items, which commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries. The Programme also included the showcasing of a remarkable AV tracing the saga of the CES and BBPS, GR from their inception in 1944 to the present day which evoked nostalgia as well as a deep sense of pride. had also been invited for their noteworthy contributions in the growth and progress of the school.
