Ball & the Box

In the activity held on 28.1.21 the students explored and learnt another fun indoor game. The game in which the children had to put a ball in a box using their hands, feet etc. was demonstrated and explained through a video. Through the activity the children enhanced their agility, imbibed competitive spirit and improved their muscular strength. Children enjoyed the game and played it with their friends and siblings at home. 

Cup Castle and Collect the Cups

Through Sporty Champions Club the children get an opportunity to play various indigenous games. It not only leads to physical development and brain stimulation but also enhances virtues like teamwork and time management. In the activity conducted on 24.12.20, the children explored two new games – Cup castle and Collect the cups. Through the activity the children enhanced their concentration level, imbibed competitive spirit, and improved the reaction time. A video tutorial was posted for the students which gave them a detailed description of the rules and method of playing the game. They were motivated to play the game with their friends and siblings. The videos and pictures shared by the students were overwhelming.

Blow the Ball

In the activity held on 26.11.20, the game- Blow the Ball was demonstrated through a video. This fun game proved to  be an ideal indoor game for children specially during the lockdown. The children had fun while maneuvering the ball from water filled glass to another. They enthusiastically played the game with their family members and friends. 

Dog and The Bone

 

Through Sporty Champions Club the children get an opportunity to play various indigenous games. It not only leads to physical development and brain stimulation but also enhances virtues like teamwork and time management. In the activity conducted on 29.10.20, the children explored a new game – Dog and the Bone. A video tutorial was posted for the students which gave them a detailed description of the rules and method of playing the game. They were motivated to play the game with their friends and siblings. The videos and pictures shared by the students were overwhelming.

Hopscotch 

Through the Sporty Champions Club, the students get a platform to explore different indigenous games and stay in touch with the culture and heritage of our country. These games and activities not only keep them physically active but bring them all socially, psychologically, and emotionally together. In the month of September, they explored a new game - Hopscotch.
Hopscotch is a street/playground game that consists of a court with boxes and requires the players to throw an object into one of the boxes and hop through the boxes to retrieve the object. A video tutorial was posted on the Connected Classrooms portal which included a step-by-step demonstration of the rules and method of playing the game. The children enjoyed playing the game with their family members and siblings. 

Hit the Target

The students get an opportunity to explore new games through the activities organized under the aegis of the Sporty Champions Club each month. The game chosen for the activity scheduled on 27.8.20 was – Hit the Target. The aim of the game was to improve hand-eye coordination in children. A video explaining the objectives and method of playing the game was shared with the students. Children enjoyed the activity and played it with the required equipment at home.

Chinese Checkers 

Sports are crucial for the growth and development of children. They help in both the mental health and physical fitness of the body. Through participation in sports and games, a student gains various skills, experience, and confidence. 

In the Virtual Club Activity organized on 30.7.20, the students explored the indoor game – Chinese Checkers. The detailed tutorial video which included the rules, strategy, and objective of the game was posted on the Connected Classrooms portal. The children learnt and played the game with family members and siblings.

Indoor Games

The students explored two indoor games- Pick up Sticks and Five Sones through the activity. A video that included a pictorial representation of the two games along with the rules and method of playing them was uploaded on the Portal. It also included a step-by-step demonstration of the method of playing the games. The students enjoyed the activity and shared their pictures & videos while playing the games with their siblings and family members.
