Activity:  My Ticking Pal

The club activity, My Ticking Pal was conducted on 17 February 2022. The activity apprised the students of the importance of a clock in our lives. Through a guided module they were introduced to different types of clocks like a pendulum clock, digital clock etc. They also learnt and made a 3D model of a clock. The activity proved to be beneficial in imparting practical knowledge which they would use in their day-to-day life.

Activity: My Trendy Almanac

A club activity was conducted on 20 January 2022 under the Numero Mania Club. A guided module was shared with the students to apprise them about the Almanac, an effective tool for keeping information for a long time. The students prepared a creative almanac for the month of their choice or for the year 2022. Through the activity they learnt how an almanac can be effectively used  in day-to-day life.

Activity: Sharing Pizza 

A club activity under the Numero Mania Club was conducted on 18 November 2021. A guided module was shared with the students apprising them about the relationship between whole and fractions i.e., a part of a whole. The steps to make a paper plate pizza and divide it into a fraction were demonstrated through a tutorial video. The activity proved to be beneficial in imparting practical knowledge that they would use in their day-to-day life.

Activity : Sudoku

Under the aegis of the Numero Mania Club, an activity – Sudoku was organised for our children virtually on 21 October 2021. A guided module was shared with the students apprising them of types of Sudoku puzzles involving shapes, letters of the alphabet, numbers, objects, and steps involved in solving these puzzles. The students quickly got on to the concepts and excitedly rationalized and solved Sudoku, recognizing errors and quickly determining which number/shape/letter to switch. The activity was indeed a healthy brain exercise that aimed at enhancing the cognitive skills and concentration power of children.

Activity : Cash Memo

Under the aegis of the Numero Mania Club, an activity - Making Cash Memo was organised for our children virtually on 23 September 2021. A guided module was shared with the students apprising them of the need for and importance of preparing a shopping bill. The students were given a practical exposure to the format of cash memo and were made familiar with terms like items, quantity, price per item etc. The children worked hands-on and made the cash memos with accuracy and learnt to do thoughtful spending, saving and gaining competence in money exchange which sowed the seeds of money management in our young children.

Activity: Tessellation Patterns

Children were apprised of the concept of tessellation patterns through a module posted on Connected Classrooms. The guided module also demonstrated how patterns can be made using cutouts of colourful polygons.  The activity gave them an opportunity to learn to organise and structure two-dimensional & three-dimensional shapes in a given space. Creating tessellations was indeed a productive experience for them.

Activity : My organiser

A club activity - My organiser was conducted in the month of July. A Module on the topic ‘My Organiser ‘was uploaded on the Connected Classrooms. Through the module, the students were guided about the importance and need of managing their time productively. The students learnt to make their own organiser using an A4 sheet, ruler, crayons and sketch pens. They showed keen interest in the activity and shared the pictures of their creative organisers with their class teachers. The activity aimed at enhancing the time-management skills of the students.

NUMERO MANIA 

Activity: Open and Closed Figures

 

In the activity organised on 22.04.21, the students learnt about Open and Closed Figures. They made different open and closed figures using coloured straws, clay dough, sticks/ matchsticks, toothpicks, ice cream sticks etc. and shared their videos and pictures. The students enjoyed this amazing tour into the world of shapes.
