Bal Bharati Public School, BBPS GRH Marg celebrated Gurpurab on 30 November 2020. The day marks the birth of Shri Guru Nanak Dev, the first Guru of the Sikh and the Founder of Sikhism.
“Dhan Guru Nanak Pragateya, miti dhund jag channan hoa”- the birth of Baba Nanak is acknowledged as the arrival of a supreme soul which illuminated the world with righteousness and lifted the veil of superstition. Guru Nanak gave the three important principles of life to humanity, enabling humans to lead a graceful and purposeful life. Naam japo-remember God through meditation, Vand chakko-selflessly serve others, sharing income and resources, and Kirat karo-earn an honest living. These timeless principles have shown a path of hard work, humility, and honesty to all.
We at Bal Bharati aim to raise the same values in our children, where they not only learn to appreciate but also imbibe these core values. Thus, this day was celebrated by paying tribute to Shri Guru Nanak Dev in the form of virtual morning assemblies, video presentations and art work.
