On Friday, 23 August 2019, the Dramatics Club of Bal Bharati Public School, GRH Marg presented the Annual Play, Duvidha based on a Rajasthani folk tale, scripted by the prolific writer, Padma Shree Vijaydan Detha, also famed for being a nominee for Nobel Prize for Literature. The occasion was graced by the presence of the illustrious and well-acclaimed playwright, Sh. Asif Ali Haider Khan as the Chief Guest; and the eminent Sh. Sangam Pandey, a Senior theatre critic and mediapersonality was the Guest of Honour. Referring to drama as “live art”, Mr Khan opined that theatre was an amalgamation of all creative and performing arts. He lauded the excellent coordination and discipline amongst the different actors which he noted, extended even to the wings, and contributed to the overall excellence of the performance. Mr Pandey praised the school for providing a platform to students to give expression to their creativity in theatrical skills as drama, he opined, is an effective tool for promoting overall learning.
