The Annual Exhibition 2019 was organised at the Pusa Road Campus on 20.7.19. The theme for the Exhibition for the Primary Department was - ‘Celebrating Internationalism’.
The guest of honour on the occasion was Ms Rina Mohapatra, Joint Resident Commissioner , Odisha.
The occasion was also graced by Principal , Mr L.V.Sehgal ; Vice - Principal, Ms Meena Malhotra; Headmistresses , Ms Sunita Gehani, Ms Neelam Ahuja & Ms Poonam Sondhi; Chief Co-ordinator , Primary Department (GR Campus),Ms Sapna Behl and members of the Parent Teacher Association.
The exhibition showcased how Internationalism is smoothly embedded in our school curriculum with an aim to make our students responsible global citizens of tomorrow. It focused on the following international days -
World Water Day
International Day of Charity
International Day of Older Persons
World Food Day
World Health Day
Earth Day
International Road Safety Week
World Animal Day
The exhibits in each room highlighted the importance of the chosen international days. It displayed the activities and projects through which the students are made aware and sensitised towards various global issues. Most of the exhibits which were hand crafted by the students will be donated to different charitable organisations.
The inaugural cultural programme included a prayer, a classical based dance performance on the bhajan - ‘श्रीरामचंद्र कृपालु भज मन’ and a vibrant musical presentation - ‘It’s a Small World’ by the school choir. The students of the Primary Department pledged to make the school campus plastic free and green and announced the launch of ‘ Plastic Free and Green Campus Campaign. They urged the parents to actively participate in the campaign and support them.
The Chief Guest , Ms Mohapatra addressed the gathering and shared her views on the importance and need for exposing the young Indians to global issues for a better tomorrow. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Principal, Mr L.V. Sehgal, who applauded the hard work of the students, parents and the teachers in putting up a wonderful show.
The entire campus wore a festive look and buzzed with the enormous turn out of parents & children who came to witness the exhibition.
